Motherships next plx

Please Frontier add motherships to this game and it will be perfect.

Imagine mothership with 4000-7000 Ts of cargo space that you can hoover above some mining spot. You just park it above some resources place, get on your miner ship and without the need to jump you can scoop 4k of plat or other metal, get back to ms and jump 100-150LY to sell your stuff.
This could also get mothership tier guns and be used in combat. With it you could add higher tier extraction points where pirates appear with own motherships and combat zones could have them too.
Having my own base that I can fly where and when I want, with ship or three, outfitting. Would be peak comfy in this game.
Those ships could be parked near stations and I could just keep flying back and forth unloading stuff. Or even better as you have such option in many cubic stations we could just approach the positoin park mothership on the station, and wait till things get unloaded.

And when you have reached a quadrillion credits what are you going to use them for.

I would prefer the game to remain fun rather than this version of perfect.

I think there are some changes that can be made to the fleet carrier design philosophy, but 'double extra good+++ version' isn't one of them, and actually why I'm annoyed at squadron carriers.

Plus... that aesthetic? Bleh.

Fleet carrier in orbit above the mining area. You load up ore, you unload ore at fleet carrier. Once you've got as much as you want you fire up the fleet carriers 500ly jump range and boom your at the selling point in perhaps a single jump.
Now that's a mothership

I'd be down for this in tandem with a general rework of capital ships in CZs.

Imagine a new Hazardous CZ, which has two capital ships firing capital-grade munitions at each other. They would have a shield-protected docking bay you can land at, and you can go inside and deploy in a fighter if you want. You can also go inside and fight inside and sabotage the ship from within.

Then you add player capital ships as well; not as big or dangerous as the ones in the CZs, basically a frigate compared to a battleship, but with enough firepower to support your side, and while extremely slow and ponderous, you CAN fly it yourself, or you can set it up on a flight pattern to support your side. When sufficiently damaged, it wakes out and has a lengthy repair sequence that costs quite a bit.

It would have maybe 2000 cargo, not huge but enough to be convenient given you could bring them down adjacent to a ring to resupply you. You could summon them in at any time via the '3' menu.

When FDev introduced the fleet carriers they surely thought players would eventually ask for ships that fall between the Large class ships and the FC. I hope they plan on adding ships that fly with the original flight mechanics (slow and sluggish obviously due to the sizes but not like FCs) but have small to large landing pads and docking for 1 to ~8 ships in different configurations. The classification of Frigate or Destroyer could be used with the smallest being similar to an X4 Frigate (Ospry, Cerberus, etc.). FCs and Squadron Carriers are huge ships so surely in the future there would be ships smaller than a FC with landing pad(s) capabilities.

This was my idea, back in 2022:

The Independence and Olympic class frigates. Each with 1 large landing pad, plus an interior docking space where planetary-style landings are permitted, allowing for boarding and unboarding both by allies and by enemies.

They could be piloted or remotely summoned, and could be chased off either by dealing sufficient damage(difficult because they'd have very, very high armor hardness, making Torpedoes the optimum reponse), OR, by docking and sabotaging them from inside.

Some asked how or what would mothership use to jump in space. Answer is shrimple as any other ship. Frame Shift Drive. Just very big one.
That's why it will only have 100-150LY of range.
Whole point of that is to fly it just like you would fly large ship. That option in-between large and fleet carrier is missing.
Here I even came up with names for those ships:
Falcon DeLacy: Titanboa/King Python
Gutamaya: Buccaneer
Lakon: T-11 Titan
Core Dynamics: Federal Battleship

Okay, new (recycled) gameplay: you can titan-bomb these big ships, torp the heat vents, send them into thermal overload, eventually make them need to retreat to cool down/repair. Now we got new ships AND new gameplay loops.
