Community Event / Creation Movie stars wanted!

Hi,

I need a small team of daring Elitists to help perform in and choreograph some battle scenes for a short film project to be previewed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2016. To be produced & directed by a team who have recently worked with The Prodigy and won an industry award. If you might be up for the challenge then gimme a shout!

Timezone, time window and in-game location might be helpful. I'd do it for a lark, but not if I had to stay up till 5AM and travel 500LY. :p

I'm in UK so couldn't be worse I guess :(

Having said that, it depends on who else turns up and if you have time to maybe get a bit more involved and coordinate things and people from your time zone. Regarding the in-game location that isn't too important either, the location just has to be far from Earth as there will also be a "journey home" section. There are to be two main sequences, the first is a montage of the leading protagonists winning battles (4-6 mins) and collecting much treasure, then there is a vicious ambush by bounty hunters (2-4 mins) in which the lead characters win the battle but sustain a crippled ship which ultimately crashes into an uninhabited planet (1-2 mins) killing everyone except our Lead. All this is to be set to a Floyd/Muse-like music soundtrack and narrated in a War-of-the-worlds style. There will be other less difficult scenes such as space stations coming into view, docking and the journey home sequences.

Oh, and another potential disadvantage of being on the other side of the world might be difficulties getting some images of you to slot into the movie... can check with our movie guy for options on that though if you're still up for it?

I'm certainly intrigued and as I may even be able to head south to Edinburgh next year. Please consider me "definitely interested".

Yeah, as people have said above - potentially able to help, but more info needed!
(e.g. when/where in galaxy, as I'm currently out exploring, and what ships you want, as I can't afford the big ones).
On the plus side I'm in Scotland, and do visit Edinburgh from time to time.
(but I don't think you said where you are or where you're doing production - simply that it'll be shown in Edinburgh)

I don't check the forums reliably, so PM if this is useful :)

Yep, you sound like creative and not production! ;) Get some solid details in man! First of all, have locations scouted. Which systems in game will people have to turn up to? If you don't know - get an answer, this means people won't be wondering how far they have to go (in-game) to participate. Get a timetable even if it's loose - July 18-19 between 6pm and 9pm Scottish time (for example) is something people can commit to, not an estimation of how long you think the sequences are going to last. It's probably going to take longer to get the shot you want anyway.

Hi,
essentially we have until end the year to get the team and plan the details, where, when etc. At this stage I'm hoping to find people who love the game and would like to be involved in showcasing a few things, (in the context of a completely made up story.)
