watching people go at each other in their show horses for a while, I can say that anything that will shorten the fight is the winner.
If the battle is extended, it can go either way.
Rail guns: one anaconda had at least 2, and the user had great skill on apparently getting in the first shot. at my distance its possible autocannon were in use before. No ship of lesser size was battle worthy after the first attack.
Ive seen other anaconda with railguns, and they usually missed. the secret is the joust, not a single sideways railgun shot connected at the typical engagement range, the usual turn range. it was apparently the fire time involved, it always passed the space the ship was just in.
Not many turrets, or they never get their targets, most of the fire I saw was down the line of the anaconda.
The most consistent anaconda weapon that continuously connected looked like gimbled burst, these ships always has missles. I can't see autocannon from that far.

The most effective cobra configuration I've seen has been gimbled burst, most have at least 2, ive seen several with 4. they weaken the other ships of same size or smaller within a few shots and the other wind up withdrawing, not enduring long enough to get a good target.
This configuration doesn't have much effect on anacondas, even though they can keep on target for a long time.
Cobras with missles never beat the anacondas, they inflicted substantial damage but both ships wind up withdrawing in a draw.

lycon 9: out classed in every encounter I saw them in.
The few that were able to get a target didn't inflict enough damage to make the other withdraw, and don't take on an anaconda.
