Multi-crew needs to be a thing, beyond allowing someone to use my fighters in the hazres.
General:
I have 2 srv's on my ship let us both use them.
I have 2 fighter, let us both use them.
Scanners!! let me allow my co-pilot to use my scanner, FSS, DSS, data-link, all and any scanners.
My beef..Last night I got on after the update, talked a friend into getting back into it (RDR2, FO76, BF, COD, PUBG and fortuna have a good hold on PS4 right now). I wanted to show him the guardian fighters, which he had never seen. Bring him on my ship, he loves the fighters..as one would. Then I asked him if he could use my FSS or DSS...no. It's painful, it's right there an amazing system waiting to be godly, yet still its garbage.
I, as the owner of the "HMS Winston Churchill" want a crew, whether it is for trading, mining, combat, exploration or even just chilling n chatting. My ship should be my ship. what is needed is a full revamp on how multi-crew works.

This should be a simple set up, new UI will work fine.
Roles tab: In the roles tab i can create roles for my crew(navigation, gunner, fighter pilot, exploration analyst(scanner man!! etc). For these created roles I can assign permissions and modules, and pay %. at the bottom of the tab, 3 buttons "transmit contract" "invite friend" "reset".
Crew tab A panel for crew management, allows me to rate crew members, assign seats/roles. In this tab i should be able to give the helm to another pilot, allow my friend to drive for a while. (this could lead to grief, but it is my ship, if I'm stupid enough to pass control to a potential liability then that is on me. and also the ability to fire some one.

Spaceport contract boards
When I transmit a contract it will be sent to a contract board located in spaceports, other players can then look at through the contracts and join a crew if they like the look of a job. This would allow players of all experience and level to mingle, learn, play, chit shat and make a some $$.
You could also just offer to squadron also i guess.
