Multi-crew mining rewards.

I'm elite in combat and exploring. Three questions about what I get if I go and crew with an elite miner:

1 What percentage of the profits do I get?
2. Does that count towards my trade rank?
3. Do any of the tons count towards the 500 I need for Selene?

1. As far as I know you only get the 10% wing-trade-dividend when the goods are sold at a station
2. sry, I don't know exactly. may count, but only to a minor degree
3. I don't think so, because only 500t refined (!) by yourself count towards the engineer

--> multicrew mining is not very useful atm

Best option to increase trade rank:
-boom time delivery missions (python!) or just bulk trading with a big ship and a profitable route, because profits count to rank

The best method for Selene Unlock IMHO would be to do Wing Mining (a bigger Mining Rig does the Mining for you to scoop, since a Sidey is kinda limited with Internals).
If I understand you correctly, you're "Sidewinder only".

I'm not sure if the Wing mate could refine and toss you the mined Cargo Canisters though. That'd work much faster.

I'd be willing to give it a shot though, I still got my Mining Anaconda parked in the bubble and I'm mobile, so we could find out if i.e. I could mine and you scoop the products.
I already got all Engineers unlocked, so I don't know if you could check the Invite counter. I don't even remember when it triggers, refining a ton? Selling a ton of Mined Metal/Mineral? Don't know.

I am pretty sure that the 500t mined cargo is counted towards what you refine yourself. And that will take a very, very long time in a Sidewinder.

OK, it's all sorted now. It took me three nights to get 500T including 15T of Painite. I used a shieldless SW with a 2A refinery and 8T of cargo space. The mining is pretty quick once you get the hang of picking up all the fragments, which is fairly easy in a SW. It was a bit of a pain not having any way to know when the asteroid was depleted. The trick is not to keep what you mine except the Painite. After every rock, empty out the cargo you don't want. I cheated a bit by bringing a ship from my other account to store the painite until I was ready to take it to Selene because it's impossible to mine with 10T of cargo capacity in the SW. You'd have to keep 5T of the Painite until you have the 500T, deliver it to Selene, then come back and spend another night to get the second 5T. The worst thing is getting bumped by the asteroids when trying to pick up the fragments. You can lose 30% of your hull from one small bump!

Now it gets even better: All I need is 50T of bromellite.
