Multi-park Profile System

I think it would fit if their are going with a "build your parks around the planet" theme. Can't wait to see if it's in the game!!!
PLANET Coaster so I think it is. But hopefully not such a game were it is:
Yeah you builded this park in China now you don't get any more new rides because you got it.

I want it so when you got the campaign in a park you can expend you park even more and I want to get more rides. Other wise it is just liek RollerCoaster Tycoon where you don't care about a park in CampaignMode. It was make the park (Without Detailing because no body cares when you have the level it is over with the park)

Yes agree.

Great idea! I also like to see a populairity meter for the overarching company. Like if a ride crashes in one of your parks, the influence is noticeable in the other parks and the value of the whole company.

I totally Like this idea, but there would have to be some kind of control in place where 2 users in the community do not use the same company name or there will be a lot of confusion.

Would you not make it the same as say selecting a forum name or xbox live gamer tag. Every one is unique and saved to your Frontier account?

The principle idea is spot on and what it could do is then make the scenario/management of the end game reflect how well you are doing (hopefully) in that the goals become greater and larger.

Wouldn't mind monthly or yearly reports that compare you to AI fictional park companies either like Theme Hospital did with you so you feel you are truly competing to be the best Theme Park on the planet. Would also make for some great multiplayer type leader board and online competitive play also.

That is not exactly what I meant, the control feature would compare chosen company names. I would not call my parks Parkmaker, I would want to use another name for my Parent Company.

Completely I understand that. Just mean that if you registered what you wanted your theme park company name is to your Planet Coaster/Frontier account it would remain unique as the game would recognise it as used already.

That is a bit clearer, thank you. Totally agree that there should be an addition to your profile: "Company Name".

this is an interesting idea, I would like to know more about the DEVs plans for campaign/scenarios. This feature could be good but it really depends on how they do things

Cool idea but the company profile should be stored locally as a suffix to our username. Think long term, I would like another 12+ years out of PC just like i've had with RCT3. Too much reliance on servers will cause issues down the line. Just look up a list of all the EA games that are no longer playable. Multiplayer features are great but I'd like the option of offline play. No one can provide support forever.

For the company we should have a logo and company name that carries through our parks.
we should get special unlocks in our research tab based on how big our themepark empire is.

Linking it to your Frontier account would be fine as that won't be closed in 12 years unless Frontier fold in which case the game wouldn't check the name and you could use what you want anyways.

There will always be offline support and with that you could always pick any name you want for your company. The name locked to the Frontier account would be purely for the multiplayer side of things.

I'm liking this idea more the more we talk about it. And, you could start with no loan, very little money. Maybe just enough to buy a small plot of land and one or two rides for a start and build up from there so you have a complete company history, and not immediately be able to build a full fledged theme park. To me, this would make the whole company multi-park more interesting to work on.

Aye, you could do a few things with that idea;

1) you have it in offline mode as career mode where you compete with AI like in Theme Hospital and you get a yearly report with rewards and stats etc. It is more free form and almost sandbox in that you can build what you want and the aim is to have the ultimate park but the income and expenditure is there, but with long term goals of being the highest rated theme park on the planet or similar. This is the game where you start with a small amount of money and can only build smaller park to start with and have to work up to larger parks/multi-parks.

2) scenario mode would then be more specific with goals from say board of directors where you start with a loan that they have secured and you have to keep them happy and your guests and it is down to you to manage. It would allow you to get stuck in with larger parks at the beginning of the game like a fast start. The only way you advance here is by completing the goals. These take you in certain directions but may have 2 or 3 ways of getting there. Your board provides a detailed report and you get a rating of your performance. This rating affects things such as company share prices so your board could possibly fire you if you do not meet their expectations for instance.

3) you play online and there is a world ranking table. How it would work exactly would be interesting as some would be more advance than others depending on how often played and when you started your park for instance but you could maybe compare it to people who are in the same game year to compare your park to others at around the same point.

These are some quick initial thoughts but am sure there are better ideas on what to do and how to do it.
