I only really play with the same two guys on a regular basis, and even then one of them is only online at the weekend. The other guy who's online more often has just wandered off into parts unknown to do some exploration and, given the distance he's already gone, probably won't be around to bring his ship to wherever the other two of us are.
So, last night, my friend out exploring and I did some multicrew after he parked on a planet. We ended up doing some surface missions to destroy power grids and I found that I was able to invite him to wing missions to do this, but when he left the crew, he didn't seem to get any reward claims to hand in whenever he got back. So to test, I invited him back to the crew again after getting a larger ship, grabbed a full load of cargo and sold it, taking note of the sale profit.
Selling 400 tons of stuff, I earned 1,384,000 credits, for a total profit of 285,600. My total income was a bit less than that since I have an NPC pilot who takes 6%, a figure that will rise once she hits Elite. Pilot's wage aside, my friend only earned about 14k total. Is his income a small percent of mine like the NPC? He's Competent, I'm Expert and the NPC is Expert.
We're planning to try and test incomes some more, but it seems like the reward isn't really worth the effort. Well, it is, but only if you own the ship.
