Multiple trains in Alpha 3

I am surprised that they are going to be leaving multiple trains so late in the testing process. Will we get to test this before the release of the game?

So basically all the info we saw was lies? Why would you have a game that has mechanics that are not gonna be released in that build? It's like saying, "Hey. We got this cool new GTX 1280 Wanna try it out?" Me: "Ok!" "Btw this will never get released to the public."

What lies exactly? This game is still in alpha, and we are almost ready to get alpha 3, which has a main testing focus on blueprints and community functionality.

The Planet Coaster alpha is a very important part of the development process. Planet Coaster is the Coaster Park Simulation game we’ve always dreamt of making, and real-world player feedback is a vital part of that. In order to ensure that we get useful feedback on key areas of the game we will be releasing key features over the course of the alpha. These will fall into three phases, they are as follows.

Phase 1: Modular building and Paths
Phase 2: Adds Coaster Building and Landscape editing
Phase 3: Adds Community Functionality and Blueprints

As we enter the other phases of the alpha we may well add additional changes such as content, an increased (but not final) level of park management simulation and of course bug fixes and optimisations.

It has been said, many, many, MANY times. We are not going to test the whole game before it releases. And definitely not test the whole content (as in props, rides etc).

Regarding the feature at hand, I agree that it is pretty important and that the community should be able to test it before release. But new features are simply brought into the game, when they are ready for testing. This one isn't. Maybe we will be able to test this in Beta.

Also ALPHA!

Yawn!

In the early days this excuse/reasoning was fine, but now we're 'diving deep' into the simulation and are getting so close to release I find this response in-adequte and lacking logic.

*To ANYONE posting 'Don't forget it's alpha, blah, blah.' I haven't forgotten, but please, please, please just sit back and think about it for a bit. I'm not moaning or complaining that we won't get to test this in the game.

I am simply saying that it's going to be very difficult to a assess the features being released in alpha 3 because logically multiple trains will have a direct implact on guest emotions i.e. increased queue times and of course finance.*

Exactly my thoughts. This is very disappointing. I expected that they would be added VERY early on and it is a fundamental part of coasters. For the short trains with a very low capacity we will get SUCH a low capacity. I am very disappointed.

Or maybe you could play another new game that has blocks that doesnt work correctly, id much rarther it work as it should , than a rushed version, weve had a rushed game with the other one by the other developers, frontier are MUCH better than that

Plus ALPHA

Yes, i feel the same... Im very surprised somany things are left out of the Alpha. Which means they have very little bug-test time. Here a short list of things that are confirmed but not yet in game...

- Multiple Trains on coasters
- Mechanics, Security guards, Vandalists
- Water rides
- Tracked rides
- Omnimovers (Confirmed in early Q&A that those were planned)
- Transport rides
- Ride events
- Customized flatride seqence (not confirmed HOW it works, but confirmed in some way)

Thats just things i can remember on the fly now, im sure there is quite some more I hope all of those will still make it into the final game, but i just find it strange that none of those really need testing.

But well... #InFrontierWeTrust [happy]

Well, i can wait really. I think it's in the full Release, so i'm not bothered. Could be that they are planning something special like transfer Tracks here. Wouldn't surprise me to see Frontier go the extra Mile. They have delivered so far so i can and will cut them some slack. [yesnod]

I can wait as well. This is not ment to complain at all, as long as it's in the final game i will be happy.
I just find it surprising... I hope this will be adressed soon, even if they just re-confirm all of this will be there at release.

Maybe they got a look of the wooden coasters at silverwood park. ;) Been there, it is in Idaho close to Washington (USA). Their wooden coasters had killer queues and I got answer: only 1 train. ;)
