I actually found a pod cast of a Jazz band playing a piece called Sidewinder and was listening to that whilst exploring! If only I could find a composition called Asp, it would be more appropriate for exploring

I do like listening to the soundtrack and the ship sounds, but on particularly long days of trading I may turn on something.
My preferred music changes based on my mood. Usually it's something nice and relaxing to go along with my trade runs.
Probably would be better suited if this game took place on Earth during the Middle Ages, but I don't mind so much.
I'm curious as to my fellow CMDRs tastes in musical accompaniment during there "Elite-ing". Don't get me wrong, the soundtrack is awesome! But I do find myself wanting to rock some more energizing tunes during CQC and whilst jetting around space.
For some reason for me, whether zipping through the vast void of space or trekking the super spaceways, electronic music always fits best as opposed to the typical classical (which I suppose we can thank/blame 2001: A Space Odyssey for)
I have a growing "Elite Electro" playlist I have been blasting on WinAmp in the background currently. Featuring the pseudo-80's/John Carpenter-esque/Vangelis-esque music of bands such as Power Glove, Mega Drive, Kavinsky, Perturbator, The Glitch Mob and more. Here is a small taste:

Considering Elite has it's roots in the 80's I find it particularly fitting. (If you want to find more there are great playlists on YouTube you can just flip on in your browser in the background too!)
Anyone else got any favorite tunes that just feel right? Or are you a purist who sticks only to the soundtrack...or dare I say only the sound effects!?
