It is, isn't it ? Words just don't seem enough to describe the experience. The game is so beautiful, just sitting in the station watching traffic can feel enlightening.

Welcome to the club, CMDR. Next on your list should be a top notch HOTAS.
That is EXACTLY the problem, I guess quite a few people tried early VR and since ignored it. I was sort of part of that club, only getting a chance to try a Quest 2 with Elite recently and I was completely blown away, it's NOTHING like just viewing things on a screen.
Since then I went full Elite immersion with Quest 2, Butt Kicker 2 and X52 HOTAS, it's the best gaming experience I've ever had. The only downside is it can take a few minutes to get the cables and everything sorted out and booted up correctly (would LOVE a dedicated setup) and so some quick sessions are just easier to play in flat mode, but it's not the same.
