Yeah, I took the path of least resistance, heh.

Here is a hud free post of my restaurant that hopefully will get filled with some shopage in the Beta update, leaving it empty now. Got the footprint how I wanted and the basic building design. Now I gotta stuff it with flair (insert Office Space joke here).

Just a little side peek at my Eiffel Tower Redo..... My daughter came back on her college break and helped me start the tower again. I lost the first tower after being more than 70% complete in a corrupt save. Now that A-3 lets me dual save (building and park) I have it backed up this time. I'd say it's about 20% now. Will continue to fiddle with it from time to time until it's done. In the mean time I am still working on the park.

And getting help of your daughter sounds amazing, i would love to have a family member that was also fan of theme parks or this type of games.

And the restuarant also looks really nice!

Both of my kids play this and since she goes back tomorrow we worked on the tower a little more. Because it's symmetrical I only have to build 1/4 of the foot print. I forgot how quick the object count goes up. I estimate that it will be just under 8000 total objects in the end (after repeating the quarters). The foundation, base leg, first platform to second platform, second platform to spire will all be separate buildings. The base leg is the biggest object, at 960ish now and I don't have the full decor in. Sooooo I am probably going to make the decor as part of the second platform building section and see how that works out. Might have to play around with that a little. Alignment of the building sections would be more critical if I do this. Here is a better shot for scale. This is roughly half the size of the real tower.

Restaurant update. Did some minor cleaning up as the trailing edge of the left side was not quite aligned with the right. Fixed that and added some lighting. I may do all the leading edges in neon, but I'm not sure if that would be overkill on this particular building. Had to re-position the star wheel several times to keep it from clipping my building.....stupid ocd.

HAAAAAAAA I finished and didn't lose this one. The tower is done and on the workshop (under factman). I have only uploaded it as a park. The tower is dead center aligned with the entrance but sits off center toward the rear of the park (centered left to right but not front to rear). For those who want to make a grand entrance. Any questions? Yes, I know I left the hud in again.

Well, the worst thing that could happen did. My primary save would not load. I pressed my luck and didn't do a back up save for a while. The back up save was last saved when I started my pirate coaster, which I was only about half way through when I hit save on the backup park. Thankfully I saved everything I built in the main street revamp, except for the coaster and the coaster building for the pirate coaster, I did not technically lose anything but time. So after swapping out all the mainstreet buildings *again*, putting out the 120 or so neon objects I added to the arcade, resetting the star wheel, I think I am caught up except for the pirate area again. The old and new coaster are both eurofighters, however this time I have 11 inversions vs the three I had before. Also it has 5 train cars instead of 2. With the exception of the listed changes the park is not changed and the new saves work fine. Since I did lose the pirate area, I figured I would bring it back bigger. I am posting a pic of the new coaster and the increased pirate area footprint. Never give up, Never surrender.

Short update. Work has been busy so my time on game has been limited to about an hour or so a day. Here is the new pirate area so far. Only have the frontage started (along with the last post, new foot print and coaster). I have a mental prob.... uhhh image of where I am going with this. So stay tuned.

My progress has been slow compared to previous weeks, but I am chipping away a little at a time. I guess when I retire I can game full time. Meretrix and De lady build so fast, makes me wonder if I am doing it wrong. I started the interior of the walled section to kinda set out my larger building footprints so I can see the scale. I still haven't decided what I want to do out in front of the entry area. I except suggestions.

Short update, What I thought was a HDD issue (ssd for operation and hdd for storage) HDD was no longer writing data turned into a motherboard issue and I had to order a new one. This was only after getting another hard drive, imaging the one that I thought was no longer writing then putting the new one in to have the same write errors. My laptop cannot handle planet coaster without serious lag so my son and i have resorted to playing farm simulator, which seems to be the only thing that isn't lagging out on the laptop. My PC should be fixed by tomorrow and I can continue in coaster heaven.
