My Asp vs a fully loaded Python!

I've flown a Viper pretty much my entire Elite: Dangerous career. (since beta) My Viper simply does not have the ammo necessary to go up against your Fer-de-Lance.

I decided to get an Asp a few days ago in order to branch out from Lave cluster and check out the community events. I'm willing to fight your FDL in my Asp anytime.

Let me know when you want to throw down. :D

Congrats for the fight; i bet the adrenaline rush was awesome. On the other hand i am a new player and i am interested in your viper fitting if you don't mind.

PS because of you videos i fitted and tried gimballed cannons on my viper and my cobra; hard to master but pretty good.

Very Nice fight to both of you.

James: Even though Python has stronger shields and mass, the ramming strategy seemed bad because of the Asp's maneuverability, giving Z4 2-3 cannon rounds of free fire after each ram while you were turning to face him.

Z4: your power management, you could have switched to 4 eng many times while James were fleeing to use scbs, getting more boost ops and hunt down James for more free shots.

I saw more videos of this kind, they have one thing in common... all cannon build, 4 pips in shields. There's no point in any different build for PVP than this one
4 pips in shields + all cannon + shield cell spam = win in PVP
I think devs should look into this. This is clearly imbalanced situation.
I would say buff shields resistance to projectiles way more as it is now

If that python was flying all cannon build with 4 pips in shields all the time you wouldnt had a chance

Fun video to watch - thanks for posting. It's also worth commending both pilots for a good attitude. That being said, I also think the video highlights an issue: battles are won/lost based - to a big extent - on shield cells. I think the game would be more fun if they were removed altogether. Just my opinion, of course.

Another battle to point out the obvious shield/shield booster/shield cell bank stacking meta...

I look forward to the 1.3 shield scrambler.

I avoided being griefed 5 times last night in Persephone thanks to shield cells. Please keep them in.
