Ships My favorite ship, it's fine but could be better.

tl:dr - My favorite ship is meh, wish it could be better.

Like I mentioned, the Type-10 is by far my favorite ship. So much that I now have no interest in getting any of the other larger ships, I'll be sticking with it in the foreseeable future. I have done much research into what I should be doing with the engineering and such, what's good and bad. And after much play time (A lot of me at least.) I thought it would be fairly reasonable for me to give feedback on such a great ship. So here is my opinion, I'll try to be as constructive as possible.

Thargoids and PVP - I have yet to get into a pvp fight, and will preferably like to avoid actually fighting another player. So I can't give much feedback on it besides a few youtube videos, I suppose pvp in the Type-10 is reserved for the excessively skilled players so it really isn't for me. I hear the ship is also meh vs Thargoids, and it really doesn't bother me. Not interested in gameplay that forces me to play a certain way or specific ships I would rather not fly. So not much feedback here, it may not be terrible but it is not good enough in these areas for me to actively participate in.
Maybe make the ship more versatile, and it's weaknesses not so bad.

Mining - It's okay, now I focus on deep core mining and can manage okay. So it could be better.
Better shields and ramming? Simply because your going to bump into every rocket in the asteroid ring while mining.

Flight - It's okay, wish it were a little bit faster so I could keep up with my friends more.
Increase boost speed? Maybe?

Hull and Shields - It's fine, though I don't feel like it is acquitted for the size and bulkiness of the ship.
Buff armor and shields?

Internals and Hardpoints - This simply does not make much sense, I get that they didn't want it to completely out perform the Type-9 but did they have to take that logic with every single large ship there? Core internals aren't great, Optional internals aren't either. The ship is the largest in the game but it can't fit as much as any of the other ship. Okay how about this?
Make it more expensive, and make the FSD a size 8, and maybe increase the size of the sensors, fuel tank, and life support too. And add an extra size 8 optional internal. If you want the Type 9 to still be "Good" Then maybe do the same with the internals. Kind of ranty here, but that should really be all I rant about.

Weapons - They are fine, maybe better placement but that's all. Logically the ship can have 4 massive extra hard points but that may be a bit much.
Better placement?

Paint and Ship kits - These really could be better, the paint jobs don't seem to be interesting at all and the only good ones don't cover the entire ship leaving big metal panels. I do love ship kits that can drastically change the look of the ship, however the ship kit for the Type-10 does really nothing, do I really need to spoil my ships look?
Better paint jobs, better ship kit.

So to wrap all this up, I feel that in making this ship the developers didn't want this ship to be better then any other ship at anything. So they made it worse then any other ship at everything, that would explain why hardly anyone uses this ship. And that leads to a non interesting paint jobs, videos of only super skilled pilots flying it doing things other ships could do better.

That should cover most of the feedback I have, I may sound like criticizing the devs but they made such a great ship here. I'm really thankful for that, I hope they can improve it so it doesn't feel like I'm making a bad choice when flying it and when my friends encourage me to get the other ships.

You are thinking about it kinda negatively it sounds. Remember, it hauls more than an anaconda, it jumps further than a Corvette, it has more firepower than a cutter, better speed, hardpoints, utilities and armour than a T 9. Its really not in a bad place as a heavy weight multi role. It also has armour hardness of 75, the strongest of all ships.

Just bought my first T10 an I'm in the process of upgrading.
Had an idea of a multicrew-funboat with all turrets, two fighters and two srv's.
But!
So far I have hired a NPC to try out some ideas like to have the ship as a gunplatform while I and the NPC swoops around in the TWO fighters in my slot 7 bay. However I can only launch one of the fighters at the time?!? Can also only place one extra NPC in the T10 even though the ship has two extra seats? So why the three crewslots in the longue?
Confused.
Need some real people to try this out.
Rant ended...

MR. Lus, you can only utilize a single NPC crewman at a time. To utilize the third seat on your ship, you must either multi crew with 2 other players or use 1 NPC and 1 player in multi crew. If dont have at least one additional player on board, you cannot use 2 fighters at once. Also, while you are multi crewing, you as the owner cannot leave the helm.

Thanks McTrollerson, Trolly.
So NPC's only lie about eating cake and commission? Think I need to rethink the strategies. Thankyou again for clearing the spacefog.

BTW it's Ius, not Lus. Works like a charm in VA, sounds like Mistrius/Mysterious. :p

Had one and sold it.
Cause i was using it as an explorer, not suited in my view for that, but for targoid hunting... Well i think it can work and that is a build im gonna try later on, since atm in far from the bubble exploring in a phantom and wont be back on the bubble so soon but i do got the ship kit and bought a nice irascendent paint for it since i do plan to use it.

My take on it, it is a nice ship, not a bad ship, has issues as any ship should have, and for targoid fighting since it can be made into a true tank, i think it can be a good option, at least will be the job ill give it to her.
