My first Epic moment with a real player encounter.

He or she pulled me out of FSD to attack me.

Though he didn't know i just came back to collect a bounty myself, and fully armed my ship with cannons.

As soon as i came out of FSD he started to attack me, had no time to sent a message NOT to engage for his own sake.

Converted all power to my hardpoints, started blasting his ship, his shields went down in a few seconds. Then he turned around, to get the hell out. I followed him a few KM, shooting his ship till it was 10% and stopped shooting.

Retracted my hardpoints and let him escape. (Im no murderer, only collect legal bounties).

I was like.. Wow!! that was AWESOME!!

Hope the fellow will think twice now to pull DustyArne out of FSD to attack without reason. lol

Fantastic BUT

If it was me with my pimped out Cobra MK III with heavy duty cannons plus 3 heavy duty laser mounts & Military Armour I would have blown him out of Space.

I'm working on some illegal trade lines right now to get those credits rolling in.

I need to get another 2 million credits in to max this bad boy Cobra out.

Then I can offer weapons support to my fellow Wings, as well as tipple in a bit of illegal stuff on the side.

Well im just a starter my self, just got lucky i upgraded my ship to collect a hard bounty.. Still, the moment was incredible, first the fear you might loose your just collected bounty, and your ship, invested to much money in to it, so i couldn't affort to rebuy it all..

I know, not really a wise thing to do.. lol..

Then after i saw i was absolutely destroying him, that power feel.. After that, the mercy i show him.. All together was amazing..

It is a great feeling once you can hold your own a bit.
I would still hesitate at going in for more than 2 at once though as I'm still not fully equipped to handle that, and I don't wish to send all these slaves in the back to their death.

Think my rebuy cost is about 100k now so i have to be careful.

Plus if your going after a few bounties in the mining belts then the seriously choppy rendering is your main enemy.

I do hope Frontier can sort their rendering engine out as it xreally is very tricky with all the framerate issues.

Once that's done your looking at a real star wars battle out there.

Had my first encounter with a combative player last night, was winged up with some new buddies, as we setoff to hit a Conflict Zone, these beam lasers came from now where, suddenly my wingman is all like, "he's on you, he's on your six, get outta there!", so I broke off as my number two starts to strip his shields out, then having recovered I turned the 30mils on him and turned him into space dust! Turns out I have a bounty out on me from some poor mission choosing, guess that's the price you pay!
Ace encounter though, glad I had a wingman to cover me!

I RES all the time. Currently in a high intensity RES zone and I haven't encountered any choppiness that some people are talking about. I was in a RES zone for over an hour and I got maybe one or two instances where the game froze for a second? Other than that pretty smooth. Saying that I tend to go solo......

It can get a bit choppy in open play...but we just have to remember, we got in on this early, and its brilliant.

I wonder if this is more of a networking lag than basic game FPS issue. Sure, network lag shouldn't affect the basic game rendering, but it doesn't sound like it happens in solo or to everybody. Since we all have the same hardware, what's different is the network connection.

150mb cable connection here ,all on a gigabit lan connection and tested regularly for correct up/down speeds. Always have an open Nat so network is not an issue here. It's purely down to the rendering engine in my opinion.

And yes it does happen occasionally in solo.

I would've just killed him. You don't threaten or provoke black marketeers, I don't gat mad or get even I teach a lesson with afree express trip to your last docking point.
