My god, Frontier, the UI...THE UI!

Come in Guys Game ist working fine so far. Just give them some time, they will fix those issues. 🥳
But it ISN'T working 'fine' for all of us. Great that it is for you, but for those of us who are having problems or offer opinions on things that we feel need attention, this is the place to do so. They MIGHT fix these issues, but they also need to know that some of their players want those fixes.

To be completely honest, the UI isn't as bad as what people make it out to be. Yeah, it needs a little improvement, but nothing major. The main issue for me is the screen-scroll being taken away which is a big pain and also the amount of times you need to press ESC when getting out of the menu. The minor thing that needs improving imo, are certain items need to be categorized better.

Truthfully I was never a big fan of porting PC or PZ to console. I was a console player before as they were cheaper but once PZ came out I knew I had to get a pc to play it. I do own PC2 deluxe edition but have yet to play it. It is a Xmas gift I bought simply for the extra stuff included. I’m hoping a lot of these issues will be solved by then. As far as bugs go I do know PZ definitely had its share of bugs in that first year but although not perfect has become pretty stable.

So I'm not sure how everyone else is getting on with the changes to the UI, but personally I'm hating it. I understand its a sequel and sometimes things like the UI and UX change or evolve, but its like playing a totally different title to Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo. Theres SO much clicking required to do anything, the coaster builder menus are so busy its almost overwhelming and things like multi-select and create a group don't seem to work, at least not for me. The options to change camera between normal and slow seem to be gone too? The path builder is going to take some getting used to, but it seems to make sense. For me its really just the UI from to bottom. It might make life easier on console or be more familiar to console players, but it makes playing on PC a chore. Give us a classic mode, Frontier!
It's absolutely horrid!! I returned the game on Steam because it's just so frustrating to try to play. Unless they make some serious changes, I will not have any plans to re-purchase. They sold out and cut corners trying to cater to everyone, and as a result the end product is complete garbage.

To make matters worse, menus like the pathing menu don't scale properly to higher resolutions. So you have to scroll to see every pathing setting on 1440p and 2160p monitors.

I have ps5 version of game. To use game UI with controler is a nightmare. I play it with mouse and keyboard, it is 150% better. It play and feel like Pc version.

While that may be the case, the PC version is a big step back in a lot of basic ways compared to all the improvements in Planet Zoo. It even went backwards on some things in Planet Coaster 1.

They should have done it like PC1. Create a pc game and maybe some time later port it to consoles! I don't know if they are realising what they have done...

I still can't "play" the game because of the really bad ui compromise (which isn't working properly). I already hate the ui because of having to move the pointer to each single window and those many clicks I have to do before I can do what I want to.

Compared to PC1 or PZ it feels like I have to use my smartphone to control it.

Those build up simulation games, especially the Planet series with it's huge customisation part need a lot of user input. It's a pc game and for sure not a quick play "arcade" game for consoles. It will never be!

One positive thing...
It's recognisable that it is possible to play the Planet series on consoles.
