They are everywhere

A sector filled with them, and there is even a nebula...
Anyway, stumbled upon a bug sector member and figured it would be nice to have a closer look.
To be honest, I know what Wolf-Rayet stars are, but I never heard about the bug nebula before. More info about Wolf-Rayet stars is
here. If you follow the link, you'll come across a picture showing this:
In game and to the naked eye, it looks like this (from about 9 LY away):
I guess they used a template to picture Wolf-Rayet stars in a generic way, because the real Bug Nebula looks like this:
But no harm done. There are so many gems in the galaxy that handcrafting each and every one of them would be - in this stage - impossible.
Jump in and the inside of your ship turns purple
Inside the system, things are pretty dark, and dusty red clouds are to be seen everywhere.
I remember an old thread discussing what it would be like to fly inside a nebula. People figured it would be very hard to get the environment across, mainly because of the hideous size of these nebulae. For instance the radius of this nebula would be around 1.5 ly. It's pretty hard to recognize any structure at this scale. But, all in all, I think they did a pretty good job creating the galaxy. I'm sure, a lot is created in a generic way, but there is still a great variety of gems to enjoy.
Some other things I stumbled upon, on my way before I found this:
A Herbig Ae/Be star. Un scoopable, and spinning fast.
This erm... ice cream. Seeing these dance around each other was fun to watch
HD 160167 (member of M6). Has it all, including a black hole and 2 neutron stars. The black hole was a surprise (as I didn't saw it at first on the system map), coming around the main star when I was scooping it. Suddenly the world went whirl and the temperature went sky high. Nearly fried me.
Brown dwarfs with rings. Probably nothing new for some, but I never saw them before.
Anyway, till now I'm more then happy with this version of the galaxy, trucking through it from one ''wow" moment to the other
