The truth is if they made an open pvp only server it would be far more popular and make far more money.
Even though it would not affect the original servers up now so many are terrified of this happening for the sole reason it will make the server they are playing on look like the easy carebear version .
Even though it would in no way affect how they play and will bring in far more revenue for thier game they will never stop arguing .
It's a sad showcase of closemindedness .

As solo is mainly for ppl who have
Bad connections.
Slow connections.
Bandwidth caps.
Using a dongle (pay for x amount of gig.)
Tethering off there mobile as the only internet they have.
Many like the elite options more than you think.(besides no offline)
Take them away they would lose a lot of players as these players wanted offline mode,and that got took away.So there settling for second best.
As there lack of connections or bad connections or caps let them down.
Good job solo hardly takes any bandwidth like open does.
So it's not all about ppl running from the pvp'ers.
it's about ppl able to play the game as well.No matter how limited or bad there internet is.
forums regarding open/solo switching has come out with a strong majority favouring the current setup. Every. Single. One. So excuse me if I call this assertion nonsense.
