Even when I'm not playing Elite Dangerous, I really love my Krait!

Whoever designed the Kraits for ED did a pretty amazing job. This designed has given me enjoyment in MULTIPLE games!

It'll take me an age to build a single landing pad for this Krait, especially if it lowers into a hangar!

Is there any benefit to a hangar? Maybe a FC with 4 landing pads that don't lower but gives you a mobile platform to move all your ships at once.

Is there any benefit to a hangar?

Besides aesthetics, a hangar could have a variety of tools to help with ship repair and building new ships (like my beloved Type-7). If it lowers into the ground, then just digging the pit will be quite the project! That's okay, "grind" in SE looks different with every project, so I actually enjoy this part of the game. Once I run out of things to build, then I'll probably grow bored.
