A question to all you intelligent people: a few days ago my Oculus Rift CV stopped working. Normally, my two Rift cameras would turn on as soon as I move the headset in front of them, but now they stayed off. I first thought it was a problem with the cameras or the USB controllers - even though it seemed unlikely two devices or USB ports would break at the same time! - but when I opened the settings in the Oculus software it showed me that both cameras are working, but the Rift itself showed an error:
I started a full setup at which point the software told me the USB cable of the rift was connected, but not the HDMI part of the cable:
Sure enough, I plugged out the HDMI connector from the graphics card (GTX 1060) a few times and also unplugged the cable end on the Rift side and put it back in, but to no avail.
Is this a known problem?
How can I find out if it's a problem with my graphics card, the Rift or a cable?
Any hints on how to proceed?
