My SRV stuck, cannot free it no matter what I try.

Or you can login to the base game, not Horizon, and this will place you above the planet. You can login back to Horizon afterwards and go back to surface...

It worked, was able to get back to the surface. Unfortunately, now I cannot deploy none of my 2 SRVs. The Deploy option is greyed out, unavailable. [???]

Well done.

Probably stupid to ask, but have you checked your modules to see if the Hangar has been deactivated?

Try turning the Planetary Vehicles Bay off and on again in the module overview/module power section?

Once upon a time, I managed to get my SRV inextricably tangled on a lamppost at a surface outpost.

I was steering around it, got it wedged between a couple of my SRV's axles and just flat-out could not get free.
Going forward and backwards just wrapped it tighter into the lamppost, tried tried thrusting and I could climb the lamppost but not roll away from it.

Collision detection in the SRV could probably use some work.

I get that it probably should be possible to get yourself "wedged" if you drive into a tapering space but, in that case, maybe they could make it so the player could manually lower the suspension and/or retract the wheels to make the vehicle lower/narrower and allow you to free yourself?
Even if there was a manual option to retract the wheels completely, it might allow you to "pop" yourself out of tight spaces, like when you raise/lower your ship's undercarriage.

I know now a thing or two about getting stuck.

The pain is real. I went back to main menu then back in and it changed my orientation enough that I was able to get out... Then promptly some how but the left side wheels through the roof I was on. I was able to get off the roof without having to log out again though so whatever.

Be warned, this can sometimes (happened to me only once) re-spawn you at the sun, not over the planet you were on.
This is exceptionally annoying if the planet you were at is a LONG way from the sun, and you specifically jumped your carrier to the planet, in order to avoid that hideous supercruise trip (as was the case for me...)
