My Temp work around for SLF hull problem

Basically, tell NPC to dock, around 70m from ship switch to fighter. You get pulled into ship immediately. Relaunch with NPC and its fixed.

Not perfect, but pretty quick. Hope it helps you all some.

You might need to adjust distance based on ship. Thats for the conda. works at somewhat shorter distances as well

It should be repaired, but it often spawns damaged regardless.

OP: why is distance important to your fix?

Ok if too close there is not enough time for you to switch with NPC, if to far then you have to pilot it in.
Once you get the timing down, the moment you switch it practically switches you back to helm a second later..

This fixes it right away so that you DON'T have to launch it again and re-dock.

Launching a fighter and then having it dock and relaunch fixes its health.

The rest is unnecessary

This fixes it right away so that you DON'T have to launch it again and re-dock.

But......your solution says to have the npc dock and then relaunch. You just added the unnecessary steps of getting close and then switching to the fighter. Im confused. How is this any different? Am i missing something?

Let me go over this

So.....what ur saying is

1)your fighter is deployed......and its missing health.

2) get within 70m of your fighter.

3) request fighter docking

4) you then switch to your fighter just in time to be pulled back into your ship

5) relaunch fighter.....now it has full health.

Did i get that right? Or am i misunderstanding something? Because if that is what you meant......steps 2 and 4 are completely unnecessary

No no no, you don't have to re-launch to fix it, its FIXED.. next time you launch its ready to go.

this FIX works. consistently too

IF i just dock it without piloting it, its NOT FIXED. (first pass)
Now, if i do what you are saying by docking and relaunching and docking again, yes it seems to fix it. MAYBE what i'm ascribing is for a specific situation and thus its faster.
Fight with bugged slf, recall to leave, do trick. fixed for next fight

Most people notice their fighter hull is broken after they launch BTW. Most fight with it even damaged because they needed it right in the middle of a fight.
SOOO, afterwards one recalls it, does this quick little trick and then its tip top tucker next time you need it.

Thats if the bug is active, thats if you fought with it

I thought the "hull problem" cited in the thread title referred to the low hull armour...

I was half expecting the OP's solution to read "Git Gud"

... lol, that's when you know you don't have enough faith in the ED community
