Naitis system lockdown?

Here I was happily bounty hunting in the Naitis system. Then I try to get back to Ford Dock to get my Asp back to go elsewhere and there they are:
A bunch of ats in fer-de-lances shooting everyone down and claiming that "this system is under lockdown".

Wait, what?
Who locked the system down?
Why?
And why do they pick on random Vipers just trying to make a living?

What is the purpose of such behavior other than to grief other players and bat them into submission and leaving the game?
Seriosuly, this is borked up.

Just play offline dude, then you only have to worry about the grief the npc's might give you.

I'm just trying to understand what the hell is going on. There is no event notice, no news report, nothing. It looks just like some random dudes in fer-de-lances decided to grief the hell out of Naitis system.

(seriously, the only thing you can do is go solo or PG. Mobius is good if you want a decent player population with a lack of trolls)

It's too bad that Naitis is the only system in the game; pity you can't fly anywhere else.

The problem is my current ship has 6 ly jump range and they block me from getting to Ford. I specced the viper to do missions in this system and I'm borked now. I can't jump anywhere due to lack of jr. And I'm stuck on a station with no outfitting.

So yeah.

I assume its because new players are there because of the skimmer missions.

So is the problem that you can't get inside the station, or that you can't retrieve your Asp from inside the station?

Took me way too long to outrun those ats.
I'm gonna transfer my asp now. Still this kind of players es me off immensely. No demands, no nothing - just trigger-happy ats picking on smaller and weaker ships to enlarge their e-pens to the appropriate size with beautiful numbers.

I would have jumped one system away (is there one within jump range of 6ly) and would have shipped my asp to me, you did good, even if it took a bit.

the problem was there was no system within 6.08 lys the closest one was at 6.18... So close and yet so far.

Grinders move to certain systems to farm skimmers.
PKers follow them to farm Commanders.

But the skimmers didn't pay to have their experience trampled on by heads, pirates I can tolerate or outrun, noob hunters, well color everyone impressed by such a display
