elitestories is a good choice. It wouldn't really matter if the site expands beyond Elite fiction, as the name still makes sense whatever the genre.
yup, that's what i thought.
the site is now under construction, I'm spending most of the time putting the forums together first so if anyone's a wizz at designing web pages or at least can help with a better under construction page give me a shout.
it is far from ready to go live yet and i don't anticipate it being ready for the public until the end of the month but if anyone wants to join or get a better idea what i'm doing the forum can be found here, not the final url as i'm going to move it from /myphpBB to /forum for a better address
@SnowGhost - if you think the disclaimer is nonsense see Ashley Barley, it's FD's official usage disclaimer from the 'Elite: Dangerous Media Usage Rules' - it's there as it's required.
as for the background, that's a hubble pic that still needs a credit in the 'about' under the creative commons licence
forgot to mention, while the main landing page of the site will be 110% ED fansite devoted to the fiction and canon lore of the game but the forum itself will be non specific and support all the styles and genres of writing it can.

still very much under construction as it still needs spell checking and proofreading yet, as well as many many more pages but this will give you an idea of the sort of look the site will have
