Not sure if I'm misremembering this or if it was dropped, wasn't there some mention in pre-release chatter of a restriction against this type of hogging? Or are these just on your wishlist, not actually initialised colonisation in all of them.

I don't have 51 systems, I have 51 build slots (34 orbital, 17 surface) in a single system, which means the system would cost 255k ARX to fully rename.

Not expensive enough if you ask me. I was going to reply that 5k ARX are expensive enough to discourage most of the meme and crappost names, but then I remembered it's gamers we talk about. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the Station McStationFaces and genital references just obscured enough to dodge the filters.

At least for now the System names will not fall for that madness, but as said in another thread, I'm not too happy with that either.

If we could trust our fellow CMDRs to not misuse the naming features, then all would be good. Alas, we can't 😂

No you are buying the name for a specific location, not a blank label you can stick on anything, but you do get unlimited renames.

Yeah I understand that now. Pretty bad deal honestly and at 5k a pop even more so... But if people keep encouraging Frontier by purchasing these and other stuff (I was no angel in the past either in fairness) that slope just keeps getting slippier.

Perhaps some punitive action to discourage stupidity in naming stations, bases etc. Like reverting the whole system back to default names. Or even losing the whole colony.
Think that would discourage it.

5000 Arx to name a station? That’s a snip compared to the £500 KickStarter backers paid for that particular reward.

Going by that depreciation, planets should be worth around £4.20 and systems about £13.37 (naturally) compared to the original £750 & £1500 levels.

(mathematics not guaranteed to be 100% correct 😁👍)

Let people name their stations whatever they want.
Agreed, there should be some moderation if names get to hatefull, racist or anything like that.
