Naval advancement missions seem a bit broken.

So they're sort of right... There's a problem with "your" game. And I'm sure the purpose of their post was to help arrive at that analysis. Though, the error has nothing at all to do with ranking up to King ages ago or now... It seems to happen when leaving a station and going to jump.

Dunno - I sometimes get them randomly, but every single ranking is a predictable Krait. nvm, I added it to the error report with netlogs, just hoping it helps fdev fix it

At the point of getting the rank?

Didn't happen to my commander. I'll check next time I rank up, which won't be long. I'll add to the ticket if you link it and it happens to me.

Yeh it always happens to me when I launch following a mission hand in, just not specifically naval I don't think. Though now I can't be sure.

Well, watch out - I have been ranking up a lot recently, so it could be a false correlation

Can't see why they've included these missions if most people just avoid them as they are bloody annoying. Went to a Threat 2 signal, got there and there were 4 pirates all of whom opened fire. What is the point in that?

Some people like different things.

Also not everybody does the naval ranking at the same time as they are ranking up to Elite so there have to be missions for all levels as well.

Hi thanks for the suggestions I must say that I'm always surprised by the general good nature of this forum considering I was pretty much rage-posting and all.

OK time for me to have egg all over my face.

I know what happened with that mission. I went there from another mission reward where they had given me 10 tons of whatever and I just forgot that was in the hold. When dropping out of SC to engage the pirate from the specific group there were 4 pirates there only one of which was my guy. However the other pirates joined in as they wanted the stuff in the hold. I think they started fighting amongst themselves as I dropped some of the cargo to get away with only low hull left so they definitely weren't together.

Like an idiot I engaged the wanted pirate so ended up in two (maybe 3) separate battles. What. A. Dufus.
