Newcomer / Intro navigating to Nebula's

I'm guessing I will be banging my head against a wall after finding out, but how do you navigate to a nebula - I can see them in the map, but can't zoom in far enough to pick a nearby star to navigate to.
Searching for them doesn't work either, so put me out of my misery, how can I select one as a destination?

Many nebulae have stars with the nebula's identification as part of their name. NGC 7822 comes to mind. You can also pan and tilt the galaxy map to put the nebula in line and use the scroll forward key (w on the pc I think) to move your "sphere" of stars until you get to it.

Here is a screenshot of using the pan / tilt / scroll / zoom to show a sphere of stars at the Soul Nebula for example:

hope this helps

Like Para said, often you can type in the nebula name and it will 'do the right thing' (e.g. type HIND and you end up on a star called 'T Tauri', which is in the nebula.

Otherwise try setting 'Realistic' mode *under the 4th tab on the left), the Map mode is less useful(!). Map mode is affected by your filtering options, and Realistic, and I find it easier to zoom around using it.
