Need official PVE mode

Mobius and his handful of volunteers managing literally thousands of PvE players in private groups across platforms and time zones are keeping Frontier Developments from facing the issue.

Frontier Developments should be providing a PvE environment. Not a handful of volunteers.

By having these groups, Frontier is able to collate their logs into useful and actionable data. Such as, being able to draw a visual diagram of how big a slice of the player base pie is transferring to PvE environments. Closing those groups would do more harm than good in getting Frontier to realise what they need to do and should have done from the start.

I agree though, Frontier should be providing a PvE environment.

I disagree, pve only is a mode we choose to play, not one initially invented by FD.
We're fortunate enough to have this great bunch of people who provide us with the possibility to play pve only.
If Mobius would stop then there's no guarantee FD will provide the same environment.
I'm very gratefull to Mobius for what they do, FD could learn a lesson from them but untill they do I'm very glad Mobius is there.
The number of Mobius players speak for themselves, no need imho for Mobius to make another statement by pulling the plug.

No thanks, I'm not a meta player. Only thing "PVE Mode" would do in my eyes is further shoehorn Open into being "PVP Mode," i.e., not really something this game is supposed to be about.

Open just needs to be more realistic and then you wouldnt have so many players in private or solo.

Just fix Open. Make a high security system..... well you know high security.

The only reason mobius has so many players signed up is because Opens crime and punishment is a complete disaster.

Karma is coming but lets be honest Karma should have been in the game since the start.

I also would like to see rare trade goods and piracy in anarchy systems come back to ED Open. Missions payouts have killed trading. The missions overhaul was the second biggest disaster.

An official Open PvE mode would be pretty awesome.

I'd also settle for the PG population cap being removed, admin tools being added and privileges being given to trusted members.
Then we can have one Mobius to rule them all. Lol

No, a lot of people are in PG because they don't want PvP and FDev rules in OPEN. There are a lot of different reasons for people to be in PG.

People should not come back in Open if they think C&P will change anything regarding PvP engagement.

We have the concept of “groups”. They can be private groups just of your friends or open groups (that form part of the game) based on the play styles people prefer, and the rules in each can be different. Players will begin in the group “All” but can change groups at will, though it will be possible to be banned from groups due to antisocial behaviour, and you will only meet others in that group.

Can certainly argue otherwise that the game thrives off player versus player interaction, after all that's why the BGS can be affected in all three different game modes (this is why BGS Bombing has become a hot button issue), plus not to mention the intention behind such mechanics like powerplay (giant risk game) and engineering (game of who can min max the most to get the most advantages out of their ship for as little drawbacks possible [which there are relatively none]), the lack of you know.... an offline mode.

Open Play needs more incentive to provide alongside that meaningful PVE content, then maybe just maybe you would see less convictions directed at PVPers. Not to mention what's already been discussed above, a working C&P system.

The idea of an "Open PvE mode" is nice and all, but just how would it work?

Are players magically gonna be incapable of damaging each other, as well as clipping through each other?

Might as well let players use the same docking pad if that's the case — then it will be just like an MMORPG, where you can see 50+ players standing inside each other while talking to the same NPC in a bank.
