Needing Chemical Processors -- suck at fighting. Is there a way?

I need chemical processors for FSD engineering. I'm trying to figure out a way to get that done without having to resort to piracy or fighting, because I'm terrible at both and don't enjoy them. For reference, the last time I tried fighting, I took an A rated asp into an extraction site and was promptly outdueled and had to be rescued by system authority vessels because I attacked a wanted Adder. I really don't know what I'm doing and if "git gud" is the only available answer I'm probably gonna throw up my hands, because again, I don't enjoy combat and I'd rather do without the FSD upgrade than take the months of hard work it'd take to master a skill I don't enjoy.

I haven't seen a processor in mission rewards in a dog's age, so that's out, and I don't have any ideas. Help?

chemical processors aplenty.

If your moral compass allow this, you can also go to anarchy systems in famine or war state and look for convoy beacons. You don't need combat skills to kill weak T7s or T9s. They are dropping them really frequently.

That's part of the problem. In D&D terms, my personality is Lawful Good. I just can't feel right about going pirate.

Signal Sources - especially Combat Aftermath, are great sources for these. I maintain an inventory of 20 of each Chemical type just scrounging in these.

Knew I've seen this somewhere previously. Check this post on a previous thread.

Basically, higher level USSes in the right kind of system in the right states have a good chance (RNG again) of dropping the interesting stuff. And if you pick up the occasional escape pod or data package, you'll stay in character :).

Whenever I'm interdicted and kill the NPC, there is usually 1-3 chemical processors floating in space. Sometimes I'll see chemical distilleries as well.

Just drop into the uss that have threat 0. You will come across them. It is where most of mine are from.

You could also cruise in high res sites and scavenge from police kills too

Combat aftermath USS in anarchy systems. Generally combat aftermath is from transport vessels, so chemical this and that are found more often there.

Short version :)

Remember the "sucks in combat" thing. Half the time I don't even bother carrying weapons. My most effective weapon in most encounters is my thrusters, and I insist on A grade thrusters and PD as a result even in ships where I'm running light.

This is one of the reasons I favor the Asp Explorer. It's really fast for its size, or big for his speed, depending on how you think of these things.

I'm sure that navigational information is really useful to someone who knows how to read it. If I put my mind to it will I be able to find that place with information clearly visible on my screen at the time? :p

(Hyades Sector DR-V c2-23 A5 at 44.818 / -31.389) translated:

System: Hyades Sector DR-V c3-23 - that's what you'd search on the Galaxy Map
Body: A5 - that's the planet or moon you'd fly to in Hyades Sector DR-V c3-23
Coordinates: 44.818 latitude, -31.389 longitude - or where, exactly on planet A5 in Hyades Sector DR-V c3-23 you can find this location.

You make have noticed the coordinates before, displayed on the bottom right of your HUD, along with the body's gravity. You just have to follow the coordinates to the right place and you'll find what's there.

Or, as I said, keep an eye out for Combat Aftermath signal sources - they're pretty much everywhere and will supply all your needs.

Planetary navigation

When you drop into a planets "atmosphere" you will have co-ordinates come up on your HUD (lots of videos about for this), having said that it is not always easy to do.

I tend to find it easier the more I do it using the stay high approach until your almost there then go on a little bit, turn around and drop into glide. Then it will be a 5/10 minute fine tune.

Sorry all, this is not the thread for this post.

The Hercules class bulk carrier I mentioned is in orbit, so no landing :)

Even if you suck at combat, go to a low res zone and shoot at stuff that npc cops are shooting at too, then scoop up the loot afterwards!

This can be done in high res too honestly, as long as you have nothing in your cargo hold, npc pirates rarely attack you.
