Nerf Multiplayer

All the antagonistic posting this week demonstrates we just can't get along so nerf Multiplayer, apply sliders to adjust all things we want nerfed/buffed and be done with it.

Note : Does anyone else find it curious that a water pistol brand has made it into the english language as a verb?

Edit : I'm not being serious BTW.

Water pistols? I thought they just did dart guns.

Did they do those Super Soakers too? Edit: Ninja'd

Multiplayer? Sliders? Meh, maybe people could just play the game for what it has to offer and stop complaining about things... ;)

In online games, "nerfing" something comes all the way back from the beginnings of Star Wars Galaxies. In Episode V - "The Empire Strikes Back", Princess Leia insults Han Solo by calling him a "stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder!". When the first "nerfs" in SWG happened, someone tossed that out as a possible description of people who were using the now-weakened skills. It stuck.

That didn't stop them trademarking it! Bizarrely, No Man's Sky had to settle a naming dispute with the TV broadcaster Sky, because apparently they own the word Sky. Ah, the wonderful world of brands and trademarking! http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-36575684

That was just nonsense. Simply the sort of money grabbing lawyering that Apple are always up to.

Interesting angle!

Totally. It was the same when the people who make Candy Crush Saga tried to prevent the Banner Saga games from using the word saga, despite these games actually involving Vikings and Norse mythology.
