Neutron star boost and max fuel limit

Hello everyone!
I'm a fairly new cmdr, just returning from my first rather long trip to Colonia.
Having acknowledged the existence of the 'neutron highway' from the Bubble to Colonia, I decided to try and see if I could shorten the trip by boosting my ship through the neutron stars.
So I get my 33ly full laden, 36ly unladen Asp Explorer to the first star in the route, Eol Prou TN-T D3-430 .
I do the dance with the star, supercharge the fsd, and select a star 110ly away, but I get the error "jump exceeds drive fuel usage 5.00T"
I thought I didn't have enough fuel for this long of a jump, so I went back to Colonia, got a main 32t tank, and a backup 16t tank, but I still got the same error. I tried plotting a smaller jump, but even a 40ly jump isnt possible. It's like the boost isn't getting applied at all. Is it a bug or am I missing something ?

did you check - "USE JET-CONE BOOST" ? at gal-map?

edith means:

sorry bout caps but thats just original display

Did you supercharge the FSD and then set your destination? I've seen some goofiness with doing it in that order. You can usually clear it by toggling the "use jet-cone boost" option off and on.

I followed Orvidius's suggestion, and it worked! thanks a lot, surely a bit of goofines with the route plotter. I did try switching "use jet cone boost" on and off but had no results, hmm.
well, I'm back to my trip, thank you both so much : )

same problem here, i use the plotting tool a lot, sometimes it workes sometimes not, same routes same jumps, and as you say if it doesnt work, also shorter jumps dont work it IS some kind of bug

More fuel is good for neutron running anyway. It means you can do more boosted jumps before you have detour to a scoopable star to re-fuel.

Remember to drop down to normal space before you use your AFM to repair the damage to your FSD. (I've made that mistake before [knocked out] )

Good luck on your journey :)
