Never ending zoom bug in FSS

Anybody else getting this?

Sometimes I’ll tune in on a body and click to zoom only to have it seem to return to the same screen after the swooping-in zoom animation.
I’m aligned right and there aren’t any other bodies in view, but I can click zoom as many times as I want without seeming to get any closer. And if I click zoom out it will go back out through as many stages and I whent in.

Trying to change my position in the system and doesn’t seem to help. This is the only thing in this system not yet scanned.

This happened yesterday and eventually fixed itself, but today I can figure out how to fix it. I even logged out to main menu and back in but no fix...

Update, so I eventually changed my position in the system enough that I could zoom in.

Seems like maybe it’s a matter of a small body obscuring my target, but the body is so small and distant that it doesn’t pop the flag that it can’t zoom because it’s obscured?

Basically fly way outside the orbital plane is the only way I could fix it.

Rarely happens. Seems when two signals are overlapping too close so the zoom does not manage to separate them enough to allow a resolution.

You can try step zooming as well, often that is enough to distinguish between the two adjacent bodies. But to be honest on the rare occasion I have had one of these I just wait until I finish the rest of the scan, and try again. Sometimes in that time the bodies will have moved enough to resolve it, if not I will try again after I have cleared the primary star and before I head to the next system. That always seems to work.
