new and a few questions

Hi all,
I'm thinking about getting Elite but I have a few questions 1st:
please could anyone help?

1) its this going to be totally PvP or can you go PvE? I'm asking cos I've played PvP before and sometime I get sick of being killed by idiots and for me (maybe I'm picky) it gets annoying.

2) I'm moving soon so I take it once ive used one set of details (email etc ) I can change them as when I move i'll be changing ISP?

3) IF I get premium Beta I never have to buy anything again like new maps etc...???

thanks for anyone who answer's

If you buy premium beta you will get FREE access to all MAJOR expansion packs

The game is quite the opposite of PVP, there is the possibility of PVP but the majority of the game is player VS environment.

and as for the details I am unsure about that, but I cannot see it being a problem.

Premium Beta , £100 , will cost you only £30 more than if you wait(game £35 , all expansions £35 ) , so for £30 you get to play ED from now until its release(end of the year), win win ! :)

I wouldn't use an ISPs email address for anything as mission critical as an Elite Dangerous account. I'd set up a gmail (other free email providers are available) now and use that. You can also start telling people to use that instead of your current one now but monitor the old one for stuff that gets through.

1. Piracy will always exist in the game, however it will be possible to restrict the ability of other players attacking you by playing 'offline' aka the game as single player.

2. You shouldn't have any problems updating your details under the account management page. Just contact customer support if any issues arise.

3. As said above, PB purchase price contains all future expansions of the game that are released.

Stay safe commander.

The main modes:
(a) Multiplayer (referred to as the ALL group). This will be PvP (and Pw[ith]P). May have an option to switch off player IDs, which will prevent players from targeting you just because you're a player.
(b) Groups (i.e. you and your mates playing however you want).
(c) Online singleplayer (just you. Markets and events will be affected by other players (and by developer events), but you'll never see or hear them)
(d) Offline singleplayer. What is says on the can.

Be aware that the Premium Beta (£100, includes all expansions) is in no way a finished product. You'll be able to fight and dock, but the market will be fairly dead, you may have resets and you will have crashes. Most people are enjoying themselves, but there have been a few posts from people who seem to have thought they were buying early access rather than playtesting the game.

You could buy the game and expansions (£70) or the Beta & expansions (£85). Or just the plain game (£35).

Get yourself a Gmail account then it doesn't matter what ISP you use as you'll always have access to your email.
Google aren't going away any time soon.
And it saves you the hassle of having to tell people what your new address is.
