New bug? Messed up camera view

Spinning coriolis and no, I didnt get the horizons menu...I did do a full reinstall of the entire game, but that made no difference at all. As above though, I found not so much a fix, but a viable workaround of the issue ^

I never get the Horizons menu screen as well, even though it's properly installed (you can see the version number even saying EDH at the bottom left). Nothing helps and Support couldn't tell me what the problem might be either. It doesn't affect the game, so I'm fine with it.

This is a known bug, it can happen randomly when landing on planets. I've made a video of it, too, and submitted a bug report, but this issue has been in the game for quite long now. I'm not sure if they can fix it in 3.1.

Yep thats the one...can at least workaround it when in the ship as one can simply memorize the binds to deploy the srv. Gets harder to work around when yer in the srv and the camera flips just as yer approaching yer ship...thats something I dont have a workaround for and thats usually the point where I have to fall back to restarting the entire console...which doesnt always work but by that point, yer trying everything outta desperation.

Originally I had some hope...knowing it was first reported in september last year however, and still not fixed...hmm will know soon enough if they fix it in 3.1...Im not overly hopeful at this point. Shame it wasnt a cash exploit, that would have been fixed inside 48 hours ^

When this happens I have no choice but to take off and leave the planet entirely. I don't know what triggers this because it has happened in different ships and different game modes. If you can memorize the button presses to board the ship from the SRV then you can work around this bug but it's annoying nevertheless. The last thing I know about this is that they're "looking into it". https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/425698-HUD-Dislocating-Upon-Planetary-Landing

Thats the same spam answer I got too after I wrote the bug report on sunday. The workaround is really only useful when yer in the ship and wanting to deploy the srv...its when yer in the srv and trying to board yer ship that things get sorta hopeless...that leads to being stuck on the planet unless ye destroy the srv which is just extremely annoying.

Maybe the console players are regarded as second class players, cos ye know if this was a bug on the pc side...?

Where that thought goes is into a dark place...its why I tend to try not going there ^

Thats the weird thing though...this bug has been around a while but up until a week ago, Id never experienced it. Now its just a random unpredictable pain in the jacksie ^

This works for me with this minor annoyance:

  • Hit guide button, go to "Home" screen
  • With the ED tile highlighted, click menu button (what used to be start)
  • Choose "Quit" from menu with the "X" icon
  • Reload ED from exactly where you left it at the point of the glitch

It usually happens to me if I land on a planet too hard, almost as if the head bob is glitching out. In fairness to FDev they have to be able to identify whats causing it before they can fix it.

Landing with a bump is one thing, but that doesnt explain how the camera flips in the srv when approaching the ship making getting onto the swhip nigh on impossible. Thats what happened to me in the first place and I titled the bug report as ¨Stuck on planet¨

Honestly there doesnt appear to be any way of predicting it...I landed on several planets last night no bother, always in the back of me mind that the next time I land might be the time the bug strikes. Sods law meant it didnt happen at all last night, but the feeling that its gonna happen again hasnt gone away.

Heres hoping they can fix it ^

I found solution

I have the same bug in a Xbox One.
I foud solution for fix this bug.

1 - quit the planet,
2 - go into an other system
3 - save and quit to main menu
4 - quit game
5 - restart game
6 - connect in a other instance
7 - go back into your destination

And now, for me its resolved.
