Destination: Galactic Core Region.
The Core Region has plenty of mysteries yet to reveal. The fringes of the galaxy have been fairly heavily saturated by explorers, whilst the Core is still relatively unexplored. If you've never been to the Core or have a yearning to return then please consider joining this expedition.
We're heading up and across the Sagittarius-Carina Arm and the Scutum-Centaurus Arm taking in the Circinus Transit and parts of the Norma Expanse and Arcadian Stream before heading into the Core regions somewhere near the Teal Nebula. The itinerary would include some well-known spots (e.g. Guardian ruins) as well as taking us through areas where there are few "tourist"-locations.
That is just the trajectory into The Core Regions, however.
We're looking for CMDRs with an interest and better still some knowledge of that part of the galaxy to help form parts of the itinerary.
EDSM requires 10 CMDRs as a starter in order to get the expedition registered there, after which it should start to attract other sign-ups. We have 8 CMDRs already committed. Once we have the expedition registered in EDSM we'll announce it in the Events section of the forum and an Inara bulletin and from there start to build a roster.
Duration - slated for about 3 months.
Start - 3rd February
Main goals:
document interesting or unusual systems
collect biological samples
make some deliveries to far out places
The main FC is Bloddeuwedds Branch, which did a trip through the Formidine Rift , down to the end of the Outer Arm, and back via the Skull and Cross Bones Nebula and Ex Cancri Cluster last Earth year. Blodeuwedds Branch represents the Silverbacks squadron, who will be heading up this expedition. However, there wont be many of us, so we're inviting independent CMDRs to help make up the core team.
