Hi,
@SpaceTrash67! Returning to the question of the FSS. Please tell me if you were alone in this system or there were more of you, and everyone was in the Wing? These are two very big differences!
Let's say two CMDRs X and Y have merged into a Wing. While CMDR X searches using FSS, CMDR Y searches using the method of targeting the ship to the planet. And if CMDR Y finds ruins before CMDR X, then (only then) CMDR X will see Ruins on the FSS when scanning this planet. After all, when searching in a Wing, the data appears immediately for all members of the Wing.
Why am I asking again? This is a very important question for me. I've been researching Eorl Auwsy sector for two months. I am looking for new (unvisited) systems inside the Brain Trees (BT) area. It is a cube with sides approximately 200LY, in the center of which are 4 systems with Ruins. Until now, I have relied only on the FSS. And only in some cases, when the system was already very attractive (> 40 bodies, many giants with moons, a lot of biology), I additionally switched to "pointing the nose". And I will be really sorry if that doesn't work. No, it will be a disaster!

I will have to go through all the systems again.
PS) Tell me you were alone. And I'll calm down.

This is the classic method of searching for the Ruins.

It was the only one that worked on undiscovered Ruins a year ago. FSS did not define new Ruins. I say this responsibly, because then my friends and I found the 4th system in this sector Eorl Auwsy SY-Z d13-3732. Largely thanks to CMDR Orvidius.

Arriving in this system and using the FSS, I found Ruins on planet 9a. It has already been mapped by CMDR Orvidius. But, planet 9b did not show me anything, at that time it was not mapped by anyone. A day later, my friend CMDR Kay Altos found the Ruins on 9b using the classic method and then mapped it.
That's why I'm in doubt. Did FDev make a revision to the search? After all, they have a lot of problems without it.
I will be very glad if I am wrong. And the FSS method works completely.
Best regards, CDD_Juriy.
