I've actually done some mining, exploration and trading. I just picked up my Cobra last night.
Oh how I love my Cobra. Fastest little ship in the galaxy!

Welcome to the Verse. I just grabbed my first Cobra last weekend and I am enjoying the crap out of this little ship.
I am also very fond of my Cobra. A very nicely balanced multi-role ship. Good cargo capacity, good range and good in a fight, but if the fight goes south, fast enough to get you out of bother.
I've only ever lost one Cobra and that was due to pilot error / stupidity / sleepiness - smashed her in to a space station

I did that twice early after getting my Cobra. I realized why, because with max power diverted to engines, it was noticeably faster than my old Adder and accerated like a Hemi 'Cuda. It took a bit to get used to the speed difference and go easy on the throttle going in and out of stations.
You know what I find funny about this guy Swearengen... He has a picture of Al as his avatar and above that it says "Mostly Harmless". Yeah right. Nothing harmless about Al...
