Yep, I blew up. I had a Python filled with nothing but fuel tanks because the supercharged FSD eats fuel. I used it for 2 minutes 6 seconds before my ship blew up. I then redeployed to Hutton Orbital.

Im running a Luga with full fuel, will let you know how i get on :ROFLMAO:

I didn't run out of fuel.
The heat builds up to the point where your ship is doomed no matter what you do.
The best you can do is short bursts, cooling down and repairing inbetween.

Redeployment doesn't count. You could do that already.
I disagree. Here's why, you redeploy to the nearest station. To redeploy at Hutton Orbital you have to be closer to it than Al-Din Prospect. I travelled 0.02LY in 2 minutes 6 seconds. Before the Supercharged FSD, you either blew up and redeployed at Al-Din or you spent a while getting closer to Hutton Orbital and blew up then and redeployed, but you wouldn't do that in 2 minutes.

So I still claim the new fastest travel time record.

I think you should actually dock to say you travelled there, records wise.

I travelled further, faster just by using a different game. It's about the same as using this latest power creep module.

So, a day later and the feedback I received falls into two sides ...
  • Blowing up and redeploying at the station does not count
  • If you got there, it counts.

Now, for the purists, I agree, the trip should be made without blowing up.
But if you can afford blowing up and redeploying at the station you're going to, ie you don't have anything you'd lose that you'd want to keep such as mission specific cargo or exploration data, then as long as you end up where you want to be, it doesn't really matter.

It's all subjective, and depends where you draw the line between acceptable and not.

So, I still claim .... 2 minutes and 6 seconds from entering the system, to being at Hutton Orbital.

Ok, because some meanie faces poopoo my redeploying and getting to Hutton Orbital in 2 minutes 6 seconds ...
I made a full run, not redeploying ... I hope you're ready for this ...
Start time : 14:38:58
Docked at: 15:50:41
Total time taken: 1 hour 12 minutes 17 seconds.
What's that? you want proof? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE PROOF ... (sorry, couldn't resist it ... here you go ..)
