New idea: trigger to move objects

To make rides more realistic and more fun, scary and so on it would be cool to be able to move objects (for a couple of seconds) with the trigger sequencer.
If this would be added to the game you can start making really epic horror houses!

I'd love to hear from you guys what you think of this idea.

I could see this getting really messy what with assigning a 'path' for the object to follow, however, if they issued objects that moved (in the same way as the marching knights or the jester on horse back), that would be extremely useful.

You wouldn't need the object to move as far but a spider dropping down from a web, the arm of a mad axe murderer coming down would be very cool (I guess in similar ways that objects were animated in RCT3)

Good idea Remi-aah, make them move forward, shake, fall over etc. would be neat, but I agree with Big Draco that more pre-defined moving animatronics are probably the way to go. Great example with the spider btw!

thanks. i had wondered what he meant (. just not sure what using a sequencer means.)

Old idea, new thread. Yes it would be great if we could animate objects along a chosen axis, including custom billboards.

With animation comes the need for easing control, otherwise it will look too linear and rigid. Limits would need to apply such as single scenery item animation only, not buildings. Even then I would imagine it's not an easy feature to develop.
