New 'Mysterious' Coaster Types

Do you guys have any ideas about what the 5 new coaster types coming in the summer update will be ?

My thoughts:

Gnarler - GCI woodie with Millenium Flyer trains.

Power Up - This one is pretty vague. I think (I HOPE) that it's a Intamin Blitz Coaster. But there's not really any evidence for this..

Viper One - A Mack multi launch coaster, and since it has the ability to do triple launches, this coaster can also be used to create Gerstlauer (and Mack) triple launch coasters.

De-Gen - Arrow/Vekoma looper with new trains.

Bolt - EDIT: It might be one of the new Vekoma Family Boomerangs.

De-Gen - Arrow/Vekoma looper with new trains.

Bolt - Same as De-Gen, but for the Boomerang coaster type.

Super exited we get 5 (!) new coaster types next update, and it looks like we get some much requested coasters!

My thoughts on the coaster types:

  • Gnarler - modern train on wooden supports: This is probably a GCI wooden coaster with Millenium Flyer trains like you said. These trains are similar to the trains of the RMC Topper Track coaster we have in the game. This one has been one of the most requested coaster types.

  • 'Viper One - multi-launch coaster' and 'Power Up - compact coaster'. Both with a dual direction station launch. Now this could be a mack mega coaster, but I don't believe there exist any that do multi directional launches through the station. Same for Intamin Blitz coasters. My guess at least one of these is a Gerstlauer Infinity coaster (which has been requested many times as well), probably the 'compact' one. These do feature multi directional launched through the station.

See Gold Rush - Slagharen for exmaple:

Now that leaves us with the other launch coaster. Now they can't have two of the same coaster types right, that would be silly (looking at you, B&M wingcoasters.. [tongue]). This one is probably an Intamin Blitz or Mack Mega coaster, probably a hybrid of those types because they are very similar in real life. I know of at least one Mack ride that has a multi directional station launch (the water-ride in Walibi Belgium) and I have seen concepts of Mack coasters that use this same mechanism.

Taron - an Intamin Blitz coaster featuring multiple launches:

Another reason I believe we will be getting an Intamin Blitz/Mack Mega coaster type is because of the next coaster type...
  • Bolt - modern boomerang coaster: A modern boomerang coaster, interesting.. Could it be the new generation Vekoma boomerang coasters? I really hope so! And let it just so happen that within the mess of Taron's amazing track work hides one of these Vekoma boomerang coasters! Coincidence? I think not. [tongue] Now let's just hope Frontier gives us generic coaster trains!

The new generation Vekoma boomerang family coaster:

  • De-Gen - 21st century train on traditional looping track: Now I don't think we will be getting another Vekoma/Arrow mk-1200 coaster type. Perhaps they used the Boomerang coaster type to make the Vekoma looping/launched coaster which would be awesome, but not really a new coaster type imho. Classic looping track probably means the track from the classic Schwarzkopf looping coaster! Also a highly requested coaster type.

So that's what I think the new coaster types are going to be. In addition we also get to re-color the wooden supports (FINALLY!!!!). I hope we get to see more improvements to coasters this update, namely a continuous-roll option, or whatever Frontier found to be the best solution to the coaster smoothness problem.

Remember, in the earlier RCT's there already was an coaster called the classic looping coaster?

Yes, Schwarzkopf. [heart][heart]

And the others I agree. GCI would be great too.

Yup! I wonder how the 21st century trains will look like.

Great post, thanks for the pictures Chems [up]

21st century trains? I don't think De-Gen is a Schwarzkopf.

Well what else could it be? Classic looping coaster has always been Schwarzkopf, and it also is the most requested coaster type by far. Frontier specifically mention the 21st century trains so it could very well be a Schwarzkopf with newer trains like the ones Periocus and KamikazeKurve linked.

Someone confirmed that one of the new coasters is an Intamin inverted impulse coaster...it's in the billboard screenshot. [big grin]

an intamin multi launch and family boomerang would be fantastic. What about that one Vekoma coaster, shown as No Limits simulation last year?

5xxx wow.!

I see Klugheim coming. tried my best lat year already..

Interesting find! Since we got a description specifically for the Power up and Venom one coaster about there multi directional station lauch one of those obviously is the Intamin Impuls coaster, so we are still getting an actual Boomerang (Boomerang name is only used by Vekoma is I am correctly), so big chance for the new generation family boomerang coaster. Still hoping we get a Mack or Intamin mega coaster! With the addition of the new boomerang which is a really unknown and new coaster type we kinda have to right (Klugheim has both the new boomerang and Intamin Blitz!!). [haha][tongue]

Here is the image for anyone who's interested. Coaster can be seen in top-left corner:

I hope everyone realises what the addition of schwarzkopf, gci and a Mack launch means, it means we basically have every mainstream manufacturer.

When I read the announcement, can I find a subtile hint for the Intamin inverted impulse. The compact "Power Up" have dual direction launch station.
The Viper One and Power Up have a very special new feature as well: dual-direction launch stations! Send your guests flying forwards and backwards with this amazing new option!

To be fair, there are multiple coaster types that feature a duel-direction launch through the station. Ugh, thinking about it, I hope we don't get another Premier launch coaster. [uhh]

Tomorrow we know more about the new coasters. ;)

I think that the GCI, Intamin/Mack launch combined and a Schwarzkopf are included. But the classic track could also be the Arrow/Vekoma.

We are still missing a spiral lift coaster like Jumbo Jet, wild mouse and spinning mouse themed cars, automobile themed cars for the Zyklon, and others.

They like to play on real-life ride names (Rival in PC is Nemesis in real life) so perhaps Viper One is a play on Venom, an Intamin Impulse coaster. I wonder if the compact launch coaster is something like GaleForce or the Premier SkyRocket II.
