New 'Mysterious' Coaster Types

So here we have it, all the information about the new coasters has been released.

The GCI coaster looks great! With the small and modern trains, it allows for much more flexible designs than the current wooden coaster. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

The Vekoma Looper is cool, and as Sam mentioned it was a little bit more work than just swapping the trains (same for Bolt), but still feels a bit underwhelming. It could at least have gotten a double spine track type and a launch track type to make it stand out a bit more. The Arrow Boomerang.. meh.

The Intamin Impuls is a cool addition, but we can't use it to create circuits, so no Volcano Blast coaster. Also, the towers are pre-made elements, which I guess is for the better because with the current lack of continuous-roll it would be impossible to build them ourselves, also the supports look really good. But yea, disappointed that we can't make more use of it than to create Wicked Twister.

The Maurer Skyloop looks great. The inverting lift hill is amazingly detailed! The best thing tho, we can use it to make different designs as well!

Also, I could be totally wrong here, but they mentioned during the stream all coaster stations support multiple laps now? If that's the case it's great! And do all launch coasters support multi-directional launched? Would be cool if they did so we can create the Sky Rocket II with the Premier Rides coaster we have.

I wonder if this means that your current Arrow coaster in your park will have the De-Gen"Vekoma" coaster-train after the update?, same with the Trident(Boomerang), will it have the Arrow coaster-train?

And what about blueprints?, will they have the swapped/new trains?

I totally agree on the double-spine, would look awesome on the lift hill and on elements.

Everything remains, except two "new" coasters. If you want the Vekoma 1.0 train on you current old 2.0 train Boomerang, you have to delete it an build it new.

No they are new coaster types, they don't replace the Arrow and Boomerang coaster we currently have.

That means I have to rebuild my coaster that I worked so hard on with no way to save my custom elements, it will not look the same.

In Planet Coaster Beta we had the option to switch between different train types on the same track, of course the didn't fit correctly because of the different track types they supported, but here we have a coaster with the same wheel assembly on the same track but with a different coach why not implement that function/option here, being able to switch train types?

I mean they had this function/option in Beta.

I was wondering that too, Chems. Not sure how that would work but it sure would be cool!!

Yea I wish we could change the coaster trains. Someone else (I dont remember their name) even had the idea of giving it a small management function as well. You can update you coaster with new trains to attract more guests, stuff like that.

At least you can disable collision and build the other version in you current coaster so it shouldn't be too difficult to replicate.

Bo answered this in the Summer Update Thread:

The dual direction launch station is only on the Viper One I'm afraid. Doesn't apply to older coasters, but I will relay that feedback to the team and see what they can do.

So it only works for the new launch coasters. I hope Frontier will implement the multiple lap functionality for the junior coasters!

Thanks for the reply, that's good to know that you can disable the collision and that way replicate your coaster.

Don't want to give myself false credit - but I think it was me. I remember it being part of my 'coaster DLC' thread.
