New Official Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous News!

The Camp Cretaceous Volume Four novel has revealed its front cover, and this is what it looks like:

Based on what I've seen, any species on the front will have an appearance and a role of sorts. In this case: Kentrosaurus, a brand new on-screen dino for the film series which is also in the two JWE games since Day 1, as well as the return of a dinosaur that, like the Ceratosaurus of Seasons 2 and 3, hasn't had a screen appearance since Jurassic Park III: Spinosaurus!

In fact, online people of many types are sharing official images that do showcase a full on Spinosaurus for the show! But, I'm still not sure where they got the image in the first place to share a conclusive official source origin, and to prove that it isn't a leak, which I know is not.

Although, it's time that I feel like sharing something rather interesting. I am not at all totally surprised that the Kentrosaurus, and I mean specifically Kentrosaurus, would be a dinosaur for the next Camp Cretaceous season. The reason: I had speculated it would be after someone made a guess on Twitter that this thing would be in it, after seeing the Mattel toy of it, which looks just like it in the image above, in its revealed CC packaging.

I speculated on the idea of the Kentro being in Camp Cretaceous after remembering something from several months ago which made astoundingly good sense. This Kentrosaurus toy by Mattel is the first ever time this thing is in a toyline by them, starting with the CC packaging, just like Mattel's Ouranosaurus toy, in which the species itself appeared in Season Three. Only, the revealing of the Ourano's packaging was revealed after its confirmed appearance, while in this case, it's vice versa for the Kentro.

Very excited for the next season. Kentro looks good. nice to see her design becoming canon.

...Thinking about it, I'm actually somewhat surprised there wasn't a canon kentro before. It's one of the more famous mesozoic animals.

Yes! The Jurassic world Evolution Kentrosaurus is going to be the first stegosaurid to become Canon in years. I have to say that this is going to be the best season yet for Isla nublar is behind us and Isla Sorna is in front of us.🙂

You know, and I knew this since yesterday, there is another Netflix image that showcases the Kentro and Rex conflict. And in both Netflix Kentro/Rex and Spino images, there are a lot of Mantah Corp drones with them. But if they are going to play a larger role in this season, the question is "How?"

More info about Mantah Corp... that's gonna be interesting. Let's see where this goes. There's definitly a lot of story potential.

New T Rex should be named Sue after the most famous T-Rex that we all know as Sue

I wonder how it'll tie-in to Dominion? Every season gets better, and so far, season 3, with its novel references, was the best.

Glad to see the spino is coming back after 20 years. I wonder if it's the same one from JP3 or another

Today, a new trailer for Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has just released. And with so many new surprises, including unexpected ones.

The campers must face new dangers, of a new island not Isla Nublar, and supposedly some kind of shadow facility, with Mantah Corp (who supposedly will play a larger role with drones and dog-like robots), and plenty of dinos such as another Rex or two, the Spinosaurus, Kentrosaurus, and the first ever prehistoric, Cenozoic, extinct mammal for the film series, EVER. The Saber-toothed cat (with no doubt, the Smilodon).

Saw it, very poggers for the smilodon, perhaps more cenozoics will come too?

I'm not into that. Good for the people who like them, but mammals - especially carnivora - are very overrated, in my opinion. I like this franchise for focusing on reptiles. But I guess I have to and can live with one or two mammals.

I'm much more into the robot-'cat'. That one's cool.

It certainly is a surprise to see an ice age mammal for the overarching film series timeline and universe, let alone for this show. In fact, it was the least expected thing I would think they would add in Camp Cretaceous, next to the snow environment!

Now, I knew ice age mammals weren't too big of a stretch to add for the JP/JW film universe due to viral in-universe websites and the mammoth bones in Season One (and no, the mobile games aren't a reason), but I didn't think they would expand on that like this so soon with a saber-toothed tiger in the flesh to put the kids in peril! There might be more for CC as a whole (You know, "never say never"), but something tells me, as of now, that this is the only ice age animal for Season Four.

Hmmm, maybe that's why Frontier said that there wasn't going to be any Camp Cretaceous content for a while, Season 4 is introducing more new animals that we could play with.

Definitely looking forward to this bad cat, and the other non-dinosaur animals the interview teased.

Imagine if we also got a mammoth and a ground sloth.
