New Poll External third person view - Release is near

Noone is arguing that it's not easy to do, in fact we know that FD has extenal views on their internal builds. The point is that FD and Braben simply don't want external views in their game, and as long as they don't want them it won't happen. We even know why they don't want them, they've already told us why, and as much as we might argue or disagree with their decision they've shown many times that they are writing the game THEY want to write.

They're not about to change the game they're writing, especially 5 days before release... there's little point in threads like this at this point other than to vent, so the question is not "can we convince them to change the game they're making?" but rather "can you play and enjoy the game we're getting?".

Well i understand what you mean but there is one point!
We have 2014 and with this approach you cannot make business today, just say i make what i want to, (and not what the market wants) will not end good for you -> look at X rebirth! They did what they want without hearing on the real fans!

Fact is they have already the external view code implemented in the game for marketing videos, ok just for internal usage but it will not be much work to allow it to everybody... Maybe just a Variable set from "no" to "yes" (0 to 1).

Even if they dont give a F... what many customer/players want, then they will not implement it... but i really dont hope so. I hope that their goal are happy customers.

Making everyone happy is not a possibility.... never will be sad to say. I like the idea but only to see what I have. If I can only see it when in a space dock so be it. For me it isn'the going to stop me fron playing....

They've told us many times what their goal is... to quote David Braben "We are making the game WE want to play". There's been 2 or 3 things they've made changes to due to public reaction but they were very early on and were not large changes. I'm not being a fanboy here, I'd love to see (limited) external views too and have been pushing for them since Premium Beta released. I'm just being realistic and accepting that it's not going to happen any time soon. Perhaps V2.0 or 3.0 down the track might introduce it but they are (very rightly) 100% focussed on releasing V1.0 with the current features only on Dec 16. I think that's something a lot of people forget too, the release version isn't the end of development, it will continue to grow and evolve just as other MMO's have.

Yes I miss those features I want (not just external views). No, it's not going to stop me playing and loving the game.

I have an alternative suggestion, and it is - allow us the ability to spacewalk, so we can take screenshots of our ship, and other views, from outside!

I just wish they'd ban this same boring poll from being put up every other week under a slight change of title , how many times do you think this has been polled?, so pls NO MORE!!!!!
