New red-orange dot approaching the bubble at 0.8ly per minute-- Thargoid mothership?

Decided to jump away from Prooe Drye BU-U a43-0 to Prooe Drye SA-U d4-90 for a moment to grab some fuel and this happens.
Thank you very much for the heads-up about that. I decided late this evening to do some searching at Prooe Drye DM-P a46-0 (first point that UIA7 was noticed) so I may adjust course a bit. And yes, noticed a lot of stars there not in the main sequence. And noted that the first noted location and it's second point on the spread sheet are also non-fuel stars.

Won't make it to Prooe Drye DM-P a46-0 tonight, bedtime and I made the decision to go there late, but only 30 jumps to go so I'll make it there tomorrow night. Was curious to see if there's some reason we didn't hear this signal until it hit that star system.

BTW, has anyone gone to the origin stars for UIA 2-7? I know we can't for #1 because it's permit-locked, but was wondering about any of the others.

It has to do with signals sent to Col 70 Sector FY-N C21-3 from Thargoid-related items (probes or sensors, can't remember exactly which). I've been out to that area in the Flame Sector area where one can get within 5 or 6 jumps of that system, but that's as close as you can get.

You can also take a look at this post for more detail (note this is from June 2018)

Please make a POT of coffee for just the first post, may require re-reading just to let it all sink in, but it'll really answer the question you asked.

Not to go off on a tangent, but there was a report (as the game got off the ground) that, in game lore, there was an ancient artifact of some kind found on Mars, hinting at a third alien race out there somewhere. The mysterious race known only as "The Developers" have never run with that thread for the length of this game's life other than to mention it at all in passing. I think it would be funny if these 7 items belong to that third race as a surprise to everyone.
So, it's the Russians forcing the Dunkirk evac, instead of the Germans...

Sure. But that just shifts the question to "what plot requires/is assisted by the Thargoids coming from these directions?"
Years ago I started reading the old Canonn threads about Unknown Artefacts etc. Around early 2016 there was an alleged leak that a livestreamer had visited FD and heard that the long term storyline was built around Thargoids invading the human bubble, upon which humanity retreated elsewhere (Colonia!) and had to fight a guerilla war against them. That post was removed shortly thereafter....

being not only aware of the lore, but also being an explorer mostly for following leads to new interests,
my take then is no different than now
back then a UA or a UP came into existence, cmdrs were finding them, still do to this day all around the galaxy, new threads every so often.
nothing new to us now, back then we all raced to find more and follow clues if any existed.
unknown probe and unknown artifact are/were cool and very interesting and all they led us to is known, but 1 is a probe, that says a lot right there.
the other artifact being the sensor.
typical things one might expect from beings exploring, no?
knowing the lore told you much much more. but nothing to indicate they came from neighbors in the milky way, imo
I understand the interest in the systems, just disagree with any assessment I have read so far.
I disagree with a lot of things I read for a very good reason.
In this game it has served me well to not believe anything I can't prove myself.
I went looking for snakes, for robots, for thargoids, for guardians, for mollusks, for crystals, leads to/from stories
and I still go looking, often as I can.

when the goids appeared in game, I was out there in a hauler looking for them and they found me.
it was impressive.
then crashed ones were on the menu, this was an eye opener. This is most of what made me think much lore was a lie and all the governments are in on it, the coverup, the continual assault and theft and the lies to keep it going.

imo there are still things not known to most cmdrs about those vessels, I have posted much in this thread about that. the 'device' being the pilot, being the most useful info IMO that somehow is missed by so many that looked right at her.
that star map, that I believe to be nothing more than a garden map.(very important map)

the info gained so far from everything is still unclear.
but with the govt's being the bad guy and INRA and others having way too much fun killing capturing experimenting on aliens and humans
it would be less of a surprise to me to find that most of the locked systems and bodies are locked because there is more proof of what they have been doing.
to me, this is far more likely.
All they ever did was kick the alien.
If I were the alien in the story, I would be working to discover who or what is behind the deaths of my friends/family.
The garden may or may not be the concern. no idea.
Not being from this galaxy would make it hard , I would mark the trails I make. I would mark things found.

I like to think the PF and who/what ever controls it, is responsible for systems and bodies being locked and ignore the chatter most go on about blaming fdev for poor implementation. that is a weak way out of thinking outside the box IMO and only worthy of being ignored.
I don't play this game because there are bad programmers and bugs and all the rest, these are trivial and nearly meaningless. Frontier made another iteration of something they did a couple times before, this one is 'live', alive, changes daily, has new ideas injected all the time, pushes our tech, is not held together by dolts with no imagination.
It draws a crowd, for the stories, for the new additions, etc..
I have complained often, but it is the best game I have ever played.
as a programmer, a person that used to sell computers/software and owned every Atari game and device ever made. I am not easily impressed
most games bore me to death just reading about them, been done, repeat, etc..

back to the PF...and that's another story and leads are in the codex. these are not good people.
I believe the lore to be heavy in this area, for the same reasons I see the govt's as criminals.
these are the enemy of mankind. who ever they are.

some I expect are Guardian related.

From Canonn:
"Commander stringtheory noticed that an eighth UIA has now appeared somewhere between Oochoxt MV-Y a82-1 and Oochoxt TN-T a85-0." :)
Well, once there were seven there were going to be eight, I guess. But we've already had an Oochoxt one 😜

But what i mean more by "because plot" is that i don't think it matters where they originated from. The plot demands that a bunch of (gonna call it... eight) these UIAs appear and "start moving across the galaxy to some ultimate destination where they'll do something". That's the "plot" bit... but their origin of appearance?
I agree that I don't think their precise origin matters. I think the point for at least 2-8 is "the Thargoids can hide stuff very well and could have more anywhere"

Fits quite well with the old Sarasvati logs, perhaps.

I agree. The Club are heavily involved in manipulating the information we are drip fed.
In light of the permit lock it has never made sense for Wreaken Construction sites to be located in the COL 70 Sector, as per Elite Premonition and a confirmatory Galnet post about the “unidentified death” there.

We are being fed lies and misinformation!!

Looks like I'm picking up eight from Trapezium Sector ZU-X C1-6, plus degraded emission. Sorry, still seven. But picked up large data cache. I'm so antsy, with all these signals, it is a good thing I don't have a weapon in my hand.
Yup, Canonn spread sheet didn't have it last night but they have an 8th tab on it now.
I guess the doom spread sheet will follow.

Kiff, you worry too much. We'll just set a new course over there, near that black-ish hole-ish thing.

What will the wild speculation be if we get more I wonder? :p
8 makes sense at least... Was just gonna say... if there's any more than 8 then IDK what's going on, suffice to say there's prob no important meaning for them.

Though, now there's 8, i don't actually believe they'll enter the bubble, rather, they'll stop just outside it.

Sure. But that just shifts the question to "what plot requires/is assisted by the Thargoids coming from these directions?"
I think its more of a case of "there are seven very big alien things heading for Sol- jinkies" type response. Thats almost one alien juggernaut per planet. What if they land like invasion barges and foot Goids pop out :D
