being not only aware of the lore, but also being an explorer mostly for following leads to new interests,
my take then is no different than now
back then a UA or a UP came into existence, cmdrs were finding them, still do to this day all around the galaxy, new threads every so often.
nothing new to us now, back then we all raced to find more and follow clues if any existed.
unknown probe and unknown artifact are/were cool and very interesting and all they led us to is known, but 1 is a probe, that says a lot right there.
the other artifact being the sensor.
typical things one might expect from beings exploring, no?
knowing the lore told you much much more. but nothing to indicate they came from neighbors in the milky way, imo
I understand the interest in the systems, just disagree with any assessment I have read so far.
I disagree with a lot of things I read for a very good reason.
In this game it has served me well to not believe anything I can't prove myself.
I went looking for snakes, for robots, for thargoids, for guardians, for mollusks, for crystals, leads to/from stories
and I still go looking, often as I can.
when the goids appeared in game, I was out there in a hauler looking for them and they found me.
it was impressive.
then crashed ones were on the menu, this was an eye opener. This is most of what made me think much lore was a lie and all the governments are in on it, the coverup, the continual assault and theft and the lies to keep it going.
imo there are still things not known to most cmdrs about those vessels, I have posted much in this thread about that. the 'device' being the pilot, being the most useful info IMO that somehow is missed by so many that looked right at her.
that star map, that I believe to be nothing more than a garden map.(very important map)
the info gained so far from everything is still unclear.
but with the govt's being the bad guy and INRA and others having way too much fun killing capturing experimenting on aliens and humans
it would be less of a surprise to me to find that most of the locked systems and bodies are locked because there is more proof of what they have been doing.
to me, this is far more likely.
All they ever did was kick the alien.
If I were the alien in the story, I would be working to discover who or what is behind the deaths of my friends/family.
The garden may or may not be the concern. no idea.
Not being from this galaxy would make it hard , I would mark the trails I make. I would mark things found.
I like to think the PF and who/what ever controls it, is responsible for systems and bodies being locked and ignore the chatter most go on about blaming fdev for poor implementation. that is a weak way out of thinking outside the box IMO and only worthy of being ignored.
I don't play this game because there are bad programmers and bugs and all the rest, these are trivial and nearly meaningless. Frontier made another iteration of something they did a couple times before, this one is 'live', alive, changes daily, has new ideas injected all the time, pushes our tech, is not held together by dolts with no imagination.
It draws a crowd, for the stories, for the new additions, etc..
I have complained often, but it is the best game I have ever played.
as a programmer, a person that used to sell computers/software and owned every Atari game and device ever made. I am not easily impressed
most games bore me to death just reading about them, been done, repeat, etc..
back to the PF...and that's another story and leads are in the codex. these are not good people.
I believe the lore to be heavy in this area, for the same reasons I see the govt's as criminals.
these are the enemy of mankind. who ever they are.
some I expect are Guardian related.
