Well done Frontier Thank you for this complete high quality. Wonderful work has been done on sound design and the cockpits layout and geometry, colouring. Absolutely love the Mamba pit.
Especially the "Graben" between back and front seat adds so much - accessibility - feeling to be inside a ship, using VR here. I find the Mamba is quite balanced.

Absolutely. It's a wonderful looking ship inside and out. The cockpit in particular is probably their best so far. So much details, so high quality. Plus it's a whole lot of fun to fly. Great job indeed.

On the other hand, it's too bad they felt the need to cripple it so much on the conveniency department (fuel tank and/or jump range), or else I would love to fly it everywhere I can.

maybe now is the time to update the viper 4 cockpit then and remove its placeholder clone of the mk3 ;)

(whilst they are at it give the asp ex some love as well as the "premier" asp ship experience - and leave the scout as it is :) (this is less of an issue imo as both are the same line of ships but the viper mark 4 is meant to be a new "mark" and as such desperately needs some character internally imo.

I love the internals - the "cockpit" team really have stepped up with recent releases.

I love how the Mamba now has an animated screen in the cockpit (I don't know why this excites me as much as it does, but it does). And "Installed Apps" on one of the other screens! :p And even - what looks like - a laptop stand (front-left, by the Target panel). It even seems to have those arrow stickers you often see on fighter bubble cockpits indicating (I assume) the emergency release levers.

The mamba is so good at nothing, it even has a picture of the ship it wants to be (Anaconda) in it's cockpit.

I suspect the text around this picture say's "When i grow up i wanna be YOU!", but the txt is so small it is eligible

Often agree with you 777, and do here, the looks are really good, but hell no the performances is bad, REALLY bad. i have not verified this fact myself but yamiks demonstrated the Mamba to have the 3rd worst Pitch in the game, not great for a dedicated combat ship.

Lol Yamicks, has he started posting videos about pitching with ships? Dear lord, he should stick to videos about grinding. I remember when the Cutter was in Beta, Youtubers pitching the ship all over the place calling it useless, never listened to them, never will, half of those guys have no idea how to fly a ship.

Disclaimer, am not stating the Mamba is great performance wise (except straight line speed) I doubt the devs ever intended it to be that way, took one out last night for a bit of combat, had no issues, will spend some more time in it tonight. Cmdrs need to learn how to adapt to new ships.

She runs hot, that was my only real gripe, everything else is a learning curve to get the best out of it.

The design and visuals on the Mamba really impressed me. Great work. I need to get into a Krait Phantom and see what they've done there.

One complaint, the white stripe on the lower forward nacelle has those horrible jaggy edges which don't follow the panel lines. Same problem as some of the paid paint jobs, which I really, really dislike.

The arrow decal on the right hand side of the upper window is the wrong way around. It should be pointing to the front of the ship.

Alternatively the arrow decal on the left hand side is the wrong way around.

Apart from that, yeah, agreed, looks nice. But not entirely sure what the empty tablet stand is supposed to be for on the lhs. Maybe we'll get the long-asked-for netflix screen in a future update?

Agreed. I'm love the sleep race car lines on the Mamba, and I love the red interior of the Krait Phantom. If I take a ship out into the black, I like to know I'm doing so in style ;)

Yamicks demonstrates that everything is bad. That is 99% of the content of his videos.

Yes agree 777, we must all to either adapt or Sell. Some hate the ASPX, but i will die defend my beloved ASPX. I too took one out to see what Yamiks was on about, and yes it does over heat with Multi Cannons????? The pitch is bad real bad, but if you can master this and use it to an advantage then the mamba is for you.

We don't all love the same ship in this game otherwise the whole Galaxy would be full of all Cmdrs flying identical ships :) However to sum up, the sleekness, the looks, the cockpit (Anaconda picture excluded) is pure SEX, and i would love to zoom around in this, but IMHO i will class this as an American Performance car...........Beautiful to look at, Fast in a straight line, but can't turn a corner :)

Just my take, and hope to bump into you in your mamba (The reason for the bumping is that you could not move out of the way quick enough) Enough Already, i'll get my coat!
