This is my first post here. I literally registered 2 minutes ago just to say these suggestions (one coming in a second post.)
Right. So. I'm not sure if this has been said before, if it has, forgive me. My idea is to have an airborne dinosaur category, with the included buildings and areas. Hear me out here. This would have a few features, and could either come as a DLC or a free update (Though DLC is more likely.)
Features:
1. Of course, the dinosaurs themselves. Now, I'm not smart enough to actually go and do research on this before suggesting it, but I assume the dinosaurs would be ones similar to the ones seen in JP3 and JW, along with the corresponding dig sites to unlock them.
2. Second would be either a tool to build an aviary, drawing it out like the fences, water, and paths that the game already has, or a pre-defined size, like a building that could be put down. If the latter was chosen, then it would have to have different sizes, like small, medium, large, extra large. Now, again, I don't know if this has already been suggested and put down, and if so, I guess I'm wasting my time. I can already see a few issues with the drawing ideas. With fences it's easy, you outline out the paddock, and the dinos can't pass the fences unless they break them. With a flying creature, you'd have to outline it, make sure the dome can be completed, be able to put stuff in it, and not have the entire thing glitch out and not have an area register as closed off and have flying dinos wreaking havoc on your park. Plus, if you had a pre-defined or drawable aviary building system, it would have to either go hand in hand with a larger map size, or be able to be drawn or placed outside of the map borders.
3. Third would be a food system. You could have two systems, and have them either together or one or the other. One would be similar to the tall feeder, but with perches for the dinos to sit on and feed. Another is a tool that is similar to the water tool, only is draws the water with fish in it, and the dinos can feed from there. Or have both, with certain dinos preferring one over the other, similar to the Paleobotany that's implemented now. The devs would also have to decided whether the player could just place the feeders/draw the fish ponds or if it would just be spawned in the aviary already, the number depending on the size.
Anyways, that's part one to my first post. On to the second one.
Constructive criticism and ideas are welcome, though I can't control what you post.
