I'd also like a SRV that didn't do an exact 180 degree turn when you lose control, no matter the nature of how it loses control or what you do to adjust afterwards... its always 180 degrees. Go on, try it... its like magic.

No, it isn't. Though admittedly it seems that way to begin with.

EDIT: I should add... It comes to rest facing backwards as that is where the wheels counteract your forward motion to stop it rather than spin it more. You just need to control your wheels and throttle to recover it, or you can go into the spin and keep it going until you've gone right round (I don't pull that one off very often).

My vote goes for a mining SRV. But, I can definitely support a more robust combat SRV too.

The thing that always bugs me is that if you're, say, driving downhill you'll get a heap of oversteer when you turn, which suggests it's tail-heavy.
But then you'll be driving uphill and you'll still get a heap of oversteer when you try to turn, which a tail-heavy vehicle shouldn't do and, instead, suggests it's front-heavy.

I enjoy driving the SRV, and I'm pretty good at it, but I don't think the physics behind it is especially terrific.
