New stuff are great, how about improving already existing ones?

It's nice to see new stuff being added and continuously improve the game. Some of them may be exiting to most users, others may be so-and-so, in any case the game moves forward and i hope it keeps that course for a long time.

It would be nice though if you could make a small "pause" at some point, and gather opinions from users on how to improve stuff. I'm not talking about complex adjustments in any existing stuff or any new stuff, i'm talking about quality-of-life and visual stuff. Minor (or maybe not-so-minor, but also not huge) adjustments what would make the game more exiting and perhaps add some more quality and realism to it.

I'll give an example here of my opinion on some things. The first is the way ships enter / leave hyperspace and the travel in-between systems.

As is now, when you press the Hyperspace key, a progress bar appears. That's nice. When it reaches the end, a countdown appears. I'm not crazy about it, but there is a point there. When it starts, you have no control of the process anymore. OK, but here's the first problem. If you are not properly aligned (but close enough), the ship's course is corrected abruptly and unnaturally. IMO the ship should say something like "adjusting course" or even better “aligning with destination” and adjust course more gently and when it finally centers, then it should start the countdown.
After the countdown ends, the ship suddenly enters hyperspace. To me, that looks childish. There should be a gentler “enter hyperspace” process. For instance, see the ship’s speed increase exponentially for about 2-3 seconds (and see all planets of the system you are in, being left behind with increasing speed) before entering hyperspace as is today. A similar “slow-down” process should also exist when reaching the destination.
In addition to that, when you enter hyperspace, you see the destination star with about the same size and luminosity through the whole journey. IMO at first you should maybe see a small dot 1 pixel wide (very dim) and as you approach the star, it should increase in size and luminosity until you finally leave hyperspace and just see the sun increase in front of you for about 2-3 seconds (same duration as when entering hyperspace).

Another thing i have noticed is the turning of the pad when you are docked in a space station. If you have just landed and you decide to leave immediately without having pressed the “go to hangar” button. The ship is lowered a bit, the pad turns 180 degrees and then is pushed up again and the ship leaves. The whole process (especially when the pad finishes turning) is very abrupt not not very natural. If any pilot was bumped like that every time, he would end up having constant headaches. Not to mention that the color of the front of the ship is always bright, as if the destination star was right in front of the ship, even when having just entered hyperspace (which is totally unnatural).

There are also several issues with lighting throughout various points of the game but i guess this is a separate (and hard-to-solve as it seems) issue.

Other users may have other ideas of this type, so IMO maybe at some point you (Frontier) should spend some time gathering them, evaluate and implement at least some of them in order to make E: D even more elegant than what is today.
