New Things in Pleiades Sector IR-W D1-55

I just finished my trip to this very interesting System Mentor. A1 is a terraformed world, A4 is an Ammo-World (with life upon?). I travelled from the main star one time around A4 to A2A Wnuk-Lipinski-Observatory where I sat down. This round-trip took me 34 min. to go (because of the many NHSS). I met:

  • NHSS 3: 2
    NHSS 4: 14
    NHSS 5: 1
    NHSS 6: 3
    NHSS 7: 3
    NHSS 8: 1
    Total: 22

Second station looks to be Doyle Landing in Lunguni (another bit error - thx Thargoids & FD ;) ) Needs transmitter confirm as my ship as not fast enough to make it fun :D

And it seems Mooramba is not the other starport targeted for attack, if anyone can work that one out (or the one Hazzu asked about) would be good. Both from Thargoid Structure in pleiades sector hh v c2 13 a1c

I jumped into Mooramba at 16:12 (ingame time), flew past A8 and back to the star: no NHSS at all in this system. I jumped out at 16:19.

Note it requires two bit flips to get the correct message that points to Lunguni. Congrats to Factabulous for the find

Original message:

While the one with flipped bits (those between *s):

Code:
    lhh hhl lhl / hhl lll lhl hh*l* = 269/1001 = 0.2687 -> 234.0687Ly
    hlh hhh hll / lll llh lh*l*     = 131/501 = 0.2615 -> 227.7501Ly
hhl hhh lll hll / lll llh lhh     = 571/500 = 1.1420 -> 994.6979Ly

Candidate Lunguni @ 2.65Ly

Apparently, Thargoids typing problems affect prominently the LSB of the divisors. I'm starting to wonder if thargoids have 3 fingers in each hand, use a binary count system with said hands, and they placed an old tharg lady with a missing first finger in the message typing dept.

Irandan been attacked. We should set up some kind of player guard. From how they didn't attack Huveang De according to the galnet article because of the amount of players attacking the thargoids in the system I feel in Irandan we did not do enough damage to them. I think there are hidden community goals and we did not meet this one. Any system inside the bubble with Non human signal sources we should attack as many thargoid ships as we can and see if we can stop the attacks, we need to draw a line in the sand and say do not cross this line or you will die to the thargoids.

The reason they retreated from the guardians is because of the OVERWHELMING onslaught from the guardians war machine we need to do the same its the way to fight back against the thargoids.

We are at war.

Leaving Irandan defenceless was cannons doing to see what would happen. It looks like their theory was correct now we know resistance against the thargs can be the key to defending our systems. Tharg presence in hip seems to be dieing down bit by bit. My only worry here is, once we start setting up a counter offensive, the thargs might start bringing in the big guns. But now we know if they cant get one target they will get the other if no resistance is met.

Leaving Irandan and HIP 21559, hope HIP 21559 is safe, we can try it.

New mission: Mentor

Btw. kinda disappointed, no good materials from rescue missions in Irandan and no good wing missions from megaships, mostly cargo delivery....ops.

@Steve K

We managed to solve all except one.

One of the messages (from PLEIADES SECTOR HH-V C2-13) points to Pleiades Sector PN-T B3-0. There is a "Megabarnacle" there but the Thargoid Link does NOT point to it. It points to a "random" spot in space about 1kls big.

Just posting to agree - message from PLEIADES SECTOR HH-V C2-13 activates TL in Pleiades Sector PN-T B3-0 but link never does its dance, just light in direction it was pointing, never points anywhere interesting. Was kinda hoping it was pointing to a mothership out in deep space, but think it probably isn't - dammit ;)

So anyone else disturbed by the fact the Thargoids have found both the INRA base that the Mycoid attack was launched from and Jameson's crashed Cobra which delivered the attack?

Its almost like they are pieceing together the story of what happened to the thargoids that were there before them. Maybe it started with kidnapping people in escape pods to interrogate. That led them to Aegis,which in turn led them to INRA...

Makes sense to me if the original thargoid presense was there to seed the place with barnacles. The rest of the group shows up,expects to see them there but there gone. All thats left is abandoned structures and crash sites. Investigation starts to find out what happened

Maybe not interrogate in the traditional sense but who knows what tech they have to extract information

I just had a thought.

Last week Irandan had a single bit typo in the link message.

This week Lunguni had two bit typos in the link message.

Sure that could be data entry error, but what if it's not? The second potential attack system being the one with the error both times? An increase in the number of errors between weeks?
