Great Trailer, generally loving ED on PC (since original Beta).
Didn't see any caveats of non in game footage or not in current version considering the trailer also said out now on PC and xbox...Just in light of the NMS 'incident' regarding peoples expectations.
Obviously being a long time player I have no expectations left

I hope you're right but based on recent time scales I can't see it. The "whole Horizons season" is just a marketing abbreviation for the "whole Horizons season so far"
That is based on recent time scales. 2.2 was 4-5 months after 2.1, so 4-5 months after 2.2 is Feb-March time. 4-5 months after is June area. Sound about right to me, especially after the talk about dropping DX10 which I would expect at the end of season 2, beginning of season 3.
Yeah, after watching the whole thing 3 times and pausing at each scene, this moment of the guy standing in the cockpit leaning on the chair is definitely the most curious.
What was also more curious was the complete lack of thargoids, aliens... anything like that.
I have spent a lot of time thinking that 2.4 would totally be about aliens storming the bubble but now I'm not so sure.
Just a beauty shot made with artistic licence or is it a quick glimpse of what's up their sleeves?

I don't think so. I read that rather as "will launch with the whole horizon content released up to that point", whatever that may mean.

Braben's letter to some PS4 magazine in Europe did a lot of talking and promising about multi-crew, a lot. I think it's safe to say we'll see PS4 launch in May/June timeframe, along with 2.3 or 2.4 (I can't remember which promises what).
1: Standing on the bridge was CGI.
2: I wish we'd get ship legs with one of the next 2 major content patches.
The co-pilote in that scene doesn't have the rank logo at the shoulder, looks like an NPC. Would be cool if we can see our NPC crew member.

Last time they had people walking in the trailers they put in a disclaimer that it wasn't actual gameplay footage.

They released 1.5 and 2.0 simultaneously, maybe they'll do the same with 2.4/3.0. My hopes would be gamescom or e3.
This thought has also crossed my mind. But still, they could have just forgotten to put it in.
I would be very surprised and disapointed if 2.3 is released 8-9 months after 2.2 to came out. I can see 2.4 being released at the same time the PS4 version comes out.
