I wish they would at least let us know how long we have to wait until the announcement? No, they just leave us hanging until they make the announcement. We don’t even have any idea what it is yet. Yes, the game is being updated in steam but does it seem to be in the final stages now? Hopefully we hear something before July 4. It seems that there has been a new DLC every three months. We are now due for the next one. I hope some of our wishes are granted this time. Like some more classic and newer flats, giant flume, skyway with 4-6 seater buckets, etc.

The game is heavily discounted at the moment, so there is no need for tricks like that; Better keep the ace up your sleeve until after the fact. Releasing new DLC at full price while the game is almost as cheap as an individual expansion, doesn't seem a smart move either; It immediate puts off your brand new customers.

The free update seems to be at least the same size as the last one. If this was only for the DLC, I can imagine it would be much smaller. That might be good news. I agree that I hope they learn something and give up on useless additions (fireworks, hotels) and bring something we were begging for since ever. More rides and QoL would be very nice.

As for the DLC, I´m not a big fan of it too, so I simply don´t buy it, especially since I think they need to fix some things on base game first.

I'm going to be honest and say I expected more from this game, which is sad because I'm usually enthusiastic about Planet Coaster, and sometimes defending Frontier when people get unhappy with content, but Vending machines, a crane machine, and some filters? nobody asked for this stuff...

I can just imagine within the next few weeks, we'll all watch the paid DLC stream in which, as usual we'll be told "3 new rides" and that'll probably be 1 flat, and 2 tracked rides, one probably being a recolor, and some theme / pack nobody really cares for. I can imagine people still asking for an asian theme, still asking for coasters to be more smooth, still asking for scalable ride pieces (like the splash down on the log flume)

I remember on release, reading through the artbook and it saying at the end "This is only the beginning" and thought we'd be getting the alternative ride skins like the magic twirl that had dragons, or the other version of Gears Of Fear (that had the split) Its not that I don't appreciate what Frontier do, its just getting a bit predictable at this point, I'd be incredibly surprised if there was more free content or a lot more content than usual in this new dlc, eh I feel sad :/

Actually, I seem to recall a number of posts and threads where people requested vending machines and skill games. Now, you won't actually be able to play the game, but it does have a random outcome. Sam also said something to the effect that this game opened the door for other things. So perhaps whole arcades, or playable games are coming. The filter system, you are correct, did not appear to be something that was requested (that I recall), but it is pretty cool!

Aaronroberts, this is what is coming for free! What is the old adage, "never look a gift horse..."? Why are you complaining about free stuff? Honestly. They could just as easily made you pay for these things, and then you all would whine that it's not worth paying for and why isn't this stuff free?

There is honestly no pleasing some people.

Personally, I think these free updates are pretty cool, and sort of point to a midway-carnival-arcade expansion, IMHO. I am a tiny bit disappointed that there are no free rides.

I've been pleased pretty much up until this point, but if you want to lump me with others, then thats fair.

I don't think expecting the same amount of content as RCT3, or more is an unfair comment, fair enough if people asked for vending machines~ but people have been asking for an asian theme from the start, and I have a feeling they'll still be asking for one. Even if the paid DLC is an asian theme, people will be saddened that its not something that was part of the game from the beginning, people will still be asking for rides, people will still be asking for themes, people will still be asking for smoother coasters.

Actually next week will be announced, according to the Twitch stream. I assume the free update will be released simultaneously with that paid DLCs.

BTW I remember a good bunch of posts were people asked for vending machines and skill games. So it's always a nice addition [happy]
